i havent done enough disability pride posts. im fixing this by talking to a community that i havent spoken too much on here- plural systems! hi guys! im part of you guys, and i find it awesome, but i want you to know im respecting you if you dont like being plural. youre incredible regardless if you like people knowing youre a system. you dont have to be the neat organized one, it doesnt have to be anything but stressful if thats what it is for you. i hope youre having a good month, please survive this july.
i also though wanna talk to the people who dont think theyve been "traumatized enough" to be plural, or dont have the obvious front switches or anything of the sort: i assure you that there is nothing to lose by trying. you disrespect nobody by exploring your identity (or identities), and can be plural without being a system! its terrifying, its new, but thats many things in this world. keep a journal, talk to yourself with new names, see what you can do. and if youre wrong? then you tried, and you didnt die not knowing. its a bit more freeing for me to be plural than other systems, sure, but again, you dont know until you try. you dont think you have "enough" to count? heres your permission to try and see. theres something worth it in there, it may make your july more survivable or just be another part of it. i hope we dont have more "i may be a system but i have a job so i cant really care about that rn" then we need (which is none), and i hope you survive this july.
okay okay final bit of this ramble but to all my systems out there who cant relate to other systems, who face multiple forms of intersecting prejudice (and especially my systems of color), i wish you the best this july. i am sorry communities like to push you out for a variety of reasons that they believe are valid. there is a need to advocate for your inclusion and the way your experiences and/or culture intergrates into your plurality. you deserve communities (plural- pun unintended- not singular) to talk about your experiences and i respect you no matter your stance on your plurality. survive july as best as you can, i am hoping for you the best.
