at sixteen , though she still loved her family deeply , she was no longer the type to spend her days at home , always with one leg out the window ( she'd taken a tumble out of said window a time or two ) and sneaking off with her friends , dating boys her parents would not approve of and avoiding as much trouble as possible , though that wasn't often easy .
