Premise: In the post-zombie apocalyptic future, the country is divided between the Recession (where civilization has survived) and the Loss
Illustration for RPPR- The Brutalists campaign!
In the post-zombie apocalyptic future, the country is divided between the Recession (where civilization has survived) and the Loss (where the undead roam unchecked). Small enclaves of refugees and survivors live in the Loss, barely clinging to life. One enclave, Le Corbusier, near Chicago, is home to a group of talented freelancers trying to find a way out of the Loss. They will do almost anything for the right price and they are known as the Brutalists.
Inserts here include,
(top row) IP Williams making a nuisance of himself as 'DJ of the Wastes', Kowloon putting in some miserable unpaid overtime to get a leg up in the architecture business; The ice-blooded hipster spook known only as U; The Mauve Hand, running rhetorical rings around the latest client;
(bottom row) Malleus engaging no-holds-barred with the mighty boxer BONESOLVENT; Young Paddywhack risking his life in a wasteland colliseum; and the Legendary wheelman Drift putting his foot down on the road towards a blaze of glory.
In the background, we see represented a full chorus of survivors, professors, Aberrants, escaped lions, wasteland tourists, betrayed Mossad agents and more.

What kind of job is too small for DG, yet only fit for a DG agent? Nothing but nightmares and hard choices face the group as they go forth and learn why theyāve really been chosenā¦and by what.
Our agents, then, from left: ex-cartel enforcer Klaus Jimenez; Ā Astrophysicist Neil Shell, just before getting crushed by the abyssal Ā sea; Agent Alex Moore; Agent Arthur Provost; Doctor Kamarov; Agent Ā Domnhall Kellogg (with Aidan making an appearance alongside), Dr. Lydia Ā Cantrell, Prof. Herbert Winkel, and Agent Alan Harper.
Below, Ā we have, top row: A very ominous white poodle; Sorcerous drug Ā entrepreneuse Chi Binh; The monstrous Russian cultist known only as Ā āGrandma and her colleagues, attended by adorable household pets; and Ā the burnt āHello Kittyā binder that started it all (Sheās a cat! Like Bast! I finally get it!).
Bottom row: A very Ā upset black bear; Conradinās cult of alligator-humanoids; Nyarlathotep, Ā in his guise as an overly-tactile motocross rider; the nameless predator, who hunts even the Gods themselves; The King in Yellow, with his personal phone app; and Claramonda, the friendly neighbour who may or Ā may not actually be a giant spider.
Check it out, in all its ghastly glory.

Illustration for Roleplaying Public Radio- Base Raider: Gate Nine!
A group of civilians at gate 9 of OāHare airport were caught as bystanders in a battle between superheroes and villains. The villains transformed the civilians into monsters, which the superheroes quickly reverted. Years later, the government may revoke their citizenship, declaring them legally non-human. In order to protect themselves, they pick through a museum that is actually a secret vault for super power sources. After gaining superpowers, the civilians (now the Gate 9 crew) find themselves caught in adventure after adventure, from saving themselves to saving the world.
Join Dr. Saul, Ivan, Trey, Vincent, Jeff, Kerzyk Agata and a cast of thousands for 26 genre-hopping episodes of sci-fi fantasy horror superhero mayhem.

'Monsters and Other Childish Things: Legacy Of Nimh', Illustration for RPPR. Based on this game.
In this sequel to the classic childrens' movie, a team of heroic young rats must set out on a perilous journey to investigate and new threat to their home valley.
On the way, they manage to win a fight with a large earthmoving vehicle. Humanity nil, mice one.
Faeās Anatomy: A Melodramatic Medical Mystery RPG parodies the stories found in procedural medical dramas. Think General Hospital, Greyās Anatomy, M.A.S.H, or House. Only insane, because who needs realism?
One player takes on the role of the Patient, struggling to provide the medical team with enough clues so they can make a diagnosis. Each Patient can come down with any 1-of-10,000 possible diseases! Roleplay the symptoms...or die!
The rest of the players are Providers, medical professionals dedicated to solving the case and saving a life. But being a doctor is stressful! To stay focused and solve the case, our medical heroes need toĀ steal medications from the pharmacy, make out in broom closets, and the other heinously unprofessional stuff that makes science interesting enough to watch on television.
No one starts the game knowing whatās wrong; the game āblack boxesā the diagnostic puzzle so that even the Patient doesnāt know what theyāre suffering from. The whole table has to work together to solve the crisis!

Illustration for RPPR- The Best Of Shaun! As a player, guaranteed to come up with something memorably bombastic; as a GM, guaranteed to swamp players and listeners alike with brimming intrigue. Along the top left to right:
Bloodied but unrepentant atop his Ā battlements, Nagalisituās Maximilian Klingzor tells Daryl The Ā Squinty-Eyed exactly what he thinks of him;
From The Grapevine campaign, Ā the Taker once known as The Red Queen talks business over tea with the Ā refined Mister Pennyworth;
Cutty of Fallen Flag loudly objects, not Ā for the last time, to a most unusual deer.
Along the Ā bottom, left to right:
The ruthless sicario Klaus Jimenez stalks Ā Tcho-Tcho through a cannabis growhouse in Godās Breath;
The titular Ā ghost-cowboy of Cottonwood overseeing his many canine servants in the Ā streets of Paige, Texas;
The enigmatic matriarch Oma squirrels away some Ā of her many secrets in the similarly dense and ambitious mystery game, Ā The Weight Of Her Shadow,
in Gate 9, Ivan Delouis visits his stable Ā of Golden-Age, golden-years supervillains inside their pocket-dimension Ā retirement community.
A staircase descends from the door, but it has long since collapsed, leaving a drop of some seven or eight feet. Below, the corridor, dimly lit by a single dropped torch, stretches to a door some thirty feet beyond. The stonework is smooth and polished, incised with strange grooves.
If the players interrupt a tiny beam of light (Spot DC 20) emitting from the tail of the serpent in the first mural, there will be a grim clanking, and a moment later, many giant razor-sharp scimitars will begin wildly slashing through the grooves in the walls and ceiling.Ā (attack+6, 2d6+2 damage)
The mechanism can be fouled by thrusting something solid into the grooves (Disable Device DC 18), though failure carries the risk of being struck by a blade. A successful tumble check can be used to traverse the blades.
The deactivation switch lies on the eye of the serpent in the farther mural.

Setting- Port Rothschild
Setting for an adventure Iām probably never going to run.
The city of Port Rothschild is centuries old, but recently the influx of traders from the North has swelled the population tenfold in a few decades, throwing up shacks and taverns and timbered pavements between the towering remnants of the Old Empireās forts and aqueducts.
It has become a haven for traders and pirates alike, and a staging post for the many travellers between the Ndovu Kingdom in the South and the scattered townships of the North- all of which has made it a perfect base for the local Thievesā Guild, who are becoming more and more ambitious, crushing one potential rival after another. While most of its members are merely self-interested thugs, the highest levels of the Guild are a strictly regulated hierarchy, sworn to the Arch-Devil Mammon, Lord Of Greed.
Locations:
1. Old Imperial Fort
2. Armoury and Duellistsā School
3. Clementās Water
4. Reservoir
5. Kit Ravaldoās Camp
6. The High Docks
7. The Low Docks
8. The Town Hall and Mayoral Residence
9. The Dukeās Sea Gate
10. The Church Of The Leviathan
11. The Raven Water
12. The Julian Water
13. The Overwatch
14. The New Fort and Magesā Tower
15. The Temple Of Pelor

17. Sailorsā Rest Tavern

Adventure hooks- I wanted to have a wide variety of beginnings all leading to the central Thievesā Guild plot, with the last one obviously being a way out of town if the players were bored or needed an escape route.
āāāāāā
I: For years, the town council have kept the peace in the city by employing a small mercenary army, the Ravens- Led by Captains Kit Ravaldo and Randall Corvus. Rumour has it, however, that the two have quarreled, resulting in Corvusā expulsion. Recently he has been seen drinking alone in the lowest quarters at the docks with only his old dog for company, a shadow of his former self. In fact, Ravaldo has made common cause with elements of the Thievesā guild, and is being introduced to the higher mysteries of the Cult Of Mammon. The Cult eventually intends to use the muscle of his army to take over the city, deposing the council and ruling as a sovereign trade nation. āāāā- II: Lady della Borgia, the renowned fencing master, has been hunting through the city for her fatherās murderer. She believes the Thievesā Guild to be responsible, and makes more and more dangerous enemies as she delves further. In fact, the real murderer is an outcast noble, long gone from the city. She has, however, gotten herself perilously close to the Mammon conspiracy, breaking up a meeting below a grog house. With no followers to watch her back, she will be made an example of before very long. āāāāā III: An old pirate and drinking companion, Sol Bridgewater, has contacted you, asking for a drink and a catch-up, with an offer of work. He explains that the Thievesā Guild have been consolidating their power while youāve been gone, and have their eye on you. You had best pay your dues or get out of town fast. In fact, he has been employed by the Guild to bait you into an ambush. At the first suggestion that you will cause trouble for the Guild, he will shrug: āNo hard feelings, eh?ā, asĀ six other customers draw knives and surround your table. āāāāā IV: A curiosity has appeared in the Sailorsā Rest tavern. The first dwarf seen in town in a generation, Burdock Goldtongue is looking for a crew to sail a shipment of good to the hidden homeland of the dwarves, in the caverns beneath the sea. He is dishevelled and nervous, but clearly wealthy enough to fund such an expedition. Are you desperate enough to wager your crew and your reputation on such a questionable proposal? In fact, Goldtongueās expedition is genuine enough. His aunt and uncle, who usually take care of the supply runs, have not returned from their last trip. Desperate to fulfill his familial duties, he has made his mission public. The trip is long, but relatively safe, as far as Goldtongue knows. The players will find out for themselves, though, in Part II: The River Below.
Iāve actually run this in the years since I wrote it. Went great :)
Blind Idiot God, and Black Goat of the Woods.
Designs for a game Iāve been trying to write. A mad concept artist hatches a plan to live eternally in the realm of the Elder Gods, theorising that if he uses art and metaphor to obscure their true nature behind a screen of hackneyed genre tropes, his mind wonāt be blasted into ruins by their proximity.
What could go wrong, right?
Illustration for Roleplaying Public Radio: The Best Of Bridget, RPPRās most innovative GM. Never content to follow the familiar RPG paths, sheās always ready to push the genre envelope, scattering poetic and visual flair as she goes.
Top left-to-right, we have a veteran furry-porn artist Ā contemplating the design of the God Of Roadkill; The Witch of Dream-away Ā Camp making her presence known; Wolf Knight from Bridgetās Shadowrun Ā games making her usual dramatic entrance.
Far right, we have Ā the setpiece battle from The Demon of Tenjin Bridge, and along the Ā bottom, we have Sweet Valkyrie, Marshmallow Caster, Strawberry Rider and Ā Caramel knight From Dagashi.

Illustration for RPPR. the Best Of David! A paltry paean to the purple-clad prince of punnery. Always quick with a playful bon mot, likewise always quick to send the scenario rocketing down the path of cold-blooded expedience.
Scenes here draw from Nagalisitu, Know Evil, Bryson Springs, Brutalists, Fallen Flag, A Very Thorough Murder and Godās Teeth.
