“Fun,” That particular word hung in his head, leeching over his thoughts ever since Natasha told him that she couldn’t have his child due to some history that she had before. Personally, as a man who preferred to go back home to a child waiting for him at the door, a wife cooking them dinner, that was rather a big traumatic news. But this is Natasha Stark he’s with right now and he had no choice but to further lie to himself that one day… maybe just one day, he can see that coming true. “I would love that if you are willing, Rescue and yes, it does makes you more human,” he replied, smiled warmly at his new possible foster daughter. “Well then, you ladies better be careful out there. I don’t like to hear any bad news from you two okay? Do we have a deal?”

She nodded, looking down at the pen in her hand and waving it around one last time before giving up and admitting she couldn't do it. Rescue sighed and grumbled a little as she placed it back on Pepper's desk, before returning her attention to him. She smiled a little. "Alright then, Dad." The smile turned into a grin. "You don't need to worry. We'll be fine!" She quickly reassured him, before coming up with an idea. "Would you like to do something as well? Just the two of us, again?" She asked, sitting up a little straighter. 

“I feel like we’ve met…What’s your name Miss?”

"That's probably because I think we have. I'm Rescue."

Pepper thought about it, she remembered Tony making her some type of suit, but she had really only ever looked at it once. She wasn’t sure whether or not she would ever want to be in a suit, but in the case of an emergency, it was better to have one. She then looked at Rescue, “Oh my, you’re the suit? You’re the suit Tony built, but you’re human.” This day was getting crazier and crazier by the minute, not that it was the girl’s fault though, she had no control over what happened.

She nodded. "I suppose I'm comparable to a.. what's the thing that you throw that ends up coming back to you? It's like a frisbee but it's not round and it's shaped weirdly." Rescue mumbled, looking down and frowning as she tried to come up with what she had been describing. "..I'm like one of those!" She concluded eventually, sighing in frustration.
