        delicate  fingers  against  familiar  keys,  melody  smooth  as  his  voice  projects.  attention  of  several  placed  upon  him,  though  he’s  mastered  the  art  of  blocking  the  faces  out.  makes  it  easier  to  get  lost  in  the  music,  to  enjoy  the  release  that  comes  from  playing.  it’s  the  only  relief  he  gets.  but  tonight  there’s  a  shift,  a  change  in  the  usual  atmosphere.  he  can  feel  a  stare,  singular,  and  he  allows  for  just  one  moment  his eyes  to  wander.  albert.  a  face  that  stands  out  far  too  often  these  days. 

a  started  with  a  brief  conversation  and  one  toying  smile  several  nights  back.  and  that  was  enough  to  spark  the  mild  infatuation  that  seemed  to  be  brewing.  and  now  samson  can’t  stop  the  slight  smirk  that  captures  his  lips  knowing  that  the  other  is  focused  on  him.  and  so  when  his  song  comes  to  an  end  and  his  break  begins  as  cassia  takes  over  for  her  first  portion  of  the  evening,  he  takes  it  upon  himself  to  occupy  the  spot  at  the  bat  by  the  other,  asks  the  bartender  on  duty  for  his  usual.  drink  taken,  he  licks  the  poison  from  his  lips,  let’s  lashes  flutter  as  his  gaze  travels  left.  settles  as  his  breath  hitches  slightly.      “  enjoying  the  show  ?  ”

       nights  at  the  bar  had  become  almost  routine.  he’d  spend  his  days  out  by  the  beach ,  in  town  or  hanging  with  tristan  and  getting  some  work  done  but  his  nights  were  his  own  and  this  one  particular  bar  had  caught  his  eye  for  many  reasons.  it  was  quiet  enough  that  he  could  sit  back  and  relax ,  dimmed  lighting  giving  off  a  casual  vibe  and  there  was  no  chance  of  rowdy  groups  causing  havoc.  it  had  all  of  that  plus  the  added  bonus  of  samson. 

he’d  learned  his  name  from  tristan  after  being  relentlessly  teased  about  his  interest  in  the  musician.  once  he  knew  his  name  he  felt  like  he  could  connect  with  him  on  a  more  personal  level  while  listening  to  his  music.  they’d  spoken  once  before ,  briefly  but  that  moment  had  struck  a  cord  inside  that  hadn’t  been  hit  in  a  long  time.  he  was  interested  in  finding  out  who  samson  was ,  and  possibly  a  little  more.  

he's  never  known  what  it's  like  to  earn  a  straight  living  and  never  had  any  interest  in  finding  out.  he'd  rob  banks ,  blow  the  shutters  off  armored  trucks ,  and  have  a  crack  at  cracking  any  safe  that  couldn't  be  cracked.

you  save  your  father  and  you  flee.  spain  becomes  home  for  a  short  while  before  you  decide  the  states  is  where  you  want  to  be.  new  york  is  where  you  call  home  now  but  miami  is  the  place  to  be  come  summer  time.  you  make  money  while  you’re  there ,  you  spend  money  too  and  you  use  the  resort  as  a  place  where  you  can  get  away  from  the  stresses  of  life.
