like imagine ur awful master's three legitimate sons all suddenly come home. one of them keeps you trapped and threatened as an informant for his stupid love war with fyodor pavlovich. the other one of them is at the monastery most the time and literally ignores you.

it's only the last one who pays you any mind at all. like he actually tries to get you to talk to him and seems interested in you at first. you talk philosophy together and he shares a bunch of cool ideas with you about how god isnt real and so all is permitted. wow... and you both dont like fyodor pavlovich. you're practically kindred spirits!

and he's clever... so clever that when you talk of potentially killing this fucker fyodor in vague and coded language he actually understands! wow! he went away when you suggested which means he wants to leave you to do it! you just really understand each other and he's just sooooo clever and will be so glad to see his intellectual ponderings actually brought to reality. all is lawful! all is understood!

so you kill the guy and flawlessly frame it all on the oldest brother.

and when your idol, the one who you did it all for returns, you're able to talk about the murder in your vague and coded language again because he's so clever. but... but he's almost like. too good at being indirect. like he's so cleverly playing the part of the oblivious innocent man that he acts like he doesn't even know. but its all a front, right? he understood, didn't he? he knows? he has to. but... you start to doubt it...

and then when he sees you for the third time after the murder, you finally tell him to stop playing around with the indirectness.

AND.... and FUCK!!!!! you realize he wasn't really being clever, he wasn't really understanding your hints, and definitely wasn't telling you to kill fyodor pavlovich. YOU REALIZE HE REALLY DIDN'T KNOW!!!!! HE DIDN'T KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND NOT ONLY DID HE NOT KNOW, BUT HE CONDEMNS YOU FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!!!!!! this guy is horrified! this guy wants to CONFESS!

so basically you alone murdered fyodor pavlovich, and deep down you know that even if you try to manipulate this guy into believing he told you to, that's not actually true. the man whose intellect guided you to do this never really wanted you to do it. and with the collapse of his ideas and the revelation of his cluelessness comes the collapse of your entire perception of this situation. your world? flipped. your sense of morality? shattered. your life? useless anyway.

welp! there's nothing left! you may as well give the money back and kill yourself :(

It’s finally done! My comic showing my take about how Leah and the Knight of Dawn met. It takes place at what I believe to be the start of the fae and human conflict. At this point in time Leah hasn’t yet learned Henrick is evil and power hungry as he’s just starting down that path towards taking his father’s crown, so that’s why she’s excited to see him…plus he just came back from a deadly mission where he brought back this new guy, the Knight of Dawn.
