I am new to the ACOTAR series , and was curious about the origin of Nesta's name. Some may have already pointed this out, but I was surprised to learn that the similarities between Princess Nest and Nesta go beyond just their names. However, what shocked me the most was learning about her last husband.

Princess Nest ferch Rhys was a literal Welsh princess whose beauty was legendary (often called the "Helen of Wales").
She was used as a political pawn, held by the English crown, and married off to Gerald de Windsorβa fierce,
loyal castellan (military commander) serving the King.
Her father was last King of Deheubarth in Wales.
As many people suspect, I think Nesta's father was powerful Fae male not papa archeron.
Like Nest, Nesta is devastatingly beautiful, used as a pawn by Night Court.
Both Princess Nest and Nesta experienced abduction and forms of sexual violence.
Their existences are rooted in the fear that their bodies and lives will be weaponized by those in power, and in the deep psychological scars left by that abuse.

Princess Nest was married three times, but only two marriage officialy comfirmed.

Stephen, Constable of Cardigan: Her final legal husband. Anglo-Norman Marcher knight, castellan, and administrator. Nest married Stephen after Gerald died.

Is this foreshadowing? I really hope so. For Nesta, the Night Court is like a prison. She needs to escape their control and find a partner who will truly respect and love her for who she is.
