WXS NOT BEING ABLE TO REACH TSUKASA THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE THEY TRIED TO REACH HIM BEFORE HIS BREAKDOWN, BUT COMING BACK TO REACH AND SAVE HIS CHILDSELF BECAUSE THAT'S THE ROOT OF HIS HURT OH MY LORD SAVE ME. THEY FILLED THE HEART THAT TSUKASA WAS PREVIOUSLY MISSING I'M SICK
Non insane edit: Obviously it's Tsukasa giving his child-self WxS's hearts, but it still shows that even after the miserable attempt in the first act, WxS still stayed to help Tsukasa, and Tsukasa delibrately made the choice to offer them to the part of himself that he knows needs them the most, just like how WxS saying 'I will never forget you' is directly speaking to ChildTsukasa's fear in the story, even if they didn't know it. That genuinely reached a part of him that was emotionally neglected and he's willing to acknowledge that deep down.
