Running her eyes across the line of text for the third time, and failing to understand what was being said, Molly shut the heavy history book in annoyance. Bloody, rotten historians and their lack of writing abilities. The redhead shoved the book across the table and sat back in her seat, arms crossed, lips pursed. Ever line of her face screamed of the frustration she was feeling. It was no real surprise that, even in the business of the Gryffindor common room, a large perimeter had formed around her, students distancing themselves from her as best as she could. They knew how volatile the lioness could be when she was angered. 

But this wasn’t anger- something curable by a cuddle from Arthur or a couple of chocolate frogs. It was… helplessness. And it was pissing her off, they were pissing her off. ‘They’ being her parents and ‘her parents’ being her mother. What was she thinking, taking Gideon and Fabian out of school at such a significant time? Furthermore, Molly knew that it was a means of talking sense into the pair of twins who had grown even more ardent in their desire to combat the emergence of the death eaters. But she was going about it all wrong. Any sort of reasoning was just going to lead to them doing something absolutely stupid. And it was frightening. And there was nothing she could do about it because this was all speculation on her part. 

Sighing, he leaned against the seventh floor corridor wall and steeled himself for whatever non-existent trouble might come his way.  After a while, he began to doze off, despite the chilly morning air.  His half-slumber was soon disturbed, however, by a clambering sound at the far end of the corridor.  Startled, he jerked awake and blinked just in time to see Molly storming in his direction.  Concerned, but wary, he took a hesitant step into her path.

Remus Lupin | Gryffindor | 6th Year | Andrew Garfield

Appearance:   Remus has neatly-kept brown hair and grey-green eyes.  He has a rather tall and lanky build.  He is rather pale and can appear to be a bit peaky from time to time, especially around the full moon.

Personality:   Despite his struggle with lycanthropy, Remus is a relatively happy person, though he is rather shy.  He finds happiness in the small things, like a good book, a warm place by the fire, and the company of friendship.

Because he is a werewolf, however, Remus has a lack of trust in himself when it comes to relationships.  This bleeds over into how he interacts with other people.  He is somewhat wary of physical contact and displays of affection unless he really trusts the person giving the affection.

Once Remus’s trust has been gained, it is a fragile thing that must not be taken lightly.  When Remus trusts someone on an emotional level, he becomes a fierce friend who will stand with them through any and every obstacle the world can throw at them.

Amortentia:  fresh smell of snow at first fall. Dementor (not Patronus memories!):  When encountering a dementor, Remus remembers his parent’s disappointment and slight shame at learning that their was no cure for Remus being bitten by Fenrir Greyback. Boggart:  Remus’s boggart is the full moon.  He can perform the Riddikulus charm, and his boggart becomes colorful and bouncy rubber ball that has been known to break things and knock people over the head. Patronus:   Remus can perform the Patronus charm, and his Patronus, in full form, is that of a wolf. Wand:   10 ¾”, Unicorn hair core and Cyprus wood; Pliable

History:  Remus John Lupin grew up in the loving home of Lyall and Hope Lupin.  He was close to both his parents, but especially his mother, as she taught him that being what the Wizarding World considered “pure” or “normal” had nothing to do with the person you chose to become.

Remus was bitten by Fenrir Greyback at an early age, and his parents feared that he would not be able to attend school as a result.  Professor Dumbledore, however, made it possible for the boy to attend Hogwarts.  Every full moon, Remus retreated to an abandoned shack where he underwent transformations.  He struggled to keep these transformations a secret for fear that he would not be accepted among his peers.

In second year, Remus finally told Peter, Sirius, and James the truth about his lycanthropy.  It was the boys’ acceptance of Remus that made them his three best friends.
