Yes, I was tearing through books constantly, and talking to this teacher at least weekly. Because even though I always loved reading as a kid, literature was always a very weak subject for me in terms of a teaching-to-standardized-test school setting (I just do awful on "what color were the curtains" type multiple choice questions. Those details don't stick in my memory THEY JUST DON'T). But that didn't matter for this class. I could just read my way out of any bad test score. I have always had fond memories of how I "fudged" my way through that class and "abused' the extra credit policy.

~100 population. Everyone is pretty happy, except one guy who thinks that life is a living hell. I investigate the source of his woes; he wants to spend time with his family. Unfortunately for him he's not married and doesn't even have close friends. Oh well, I think, his bad.

About 20 minutes later, I get a tantrum notification. It's mister no-wife, killing cats and destroying cage traps. Luckily my justice system is particularly effective, and before he knows it this socially isolated man has been sentenced to a month in jail and a beating.

The beating... it neutered him. He is now gelded. He was throwing a fit because he was an incel, and now he can never have children.

Anyways, the unhappy bachelor has now turned to a life of crime in his loneliness. He'll spend a few months in jail, get out, start a brawl, and go straight back to jail. Mentally he's only gotten worse, because he has constant bad thoughts from all the beatings he's received. This guy has no future.
