Blaise Zabini's Fanon Characterisation is Worth Considering as Racist
I can't outright claim that all of his fanon characterisation stems from harmful racial stereotypes, but it's something I'd like to pay attention to.
Blaise has almost no screen-time, leaving room for fans to interpret him individually, but fanon often contradicts what little we do have.
Blaise's responses are clipped. He scarcely speaks unless engaged first. When questioned about his mother's seven marriages by Slughorn, Blaise shows no embarrassment, nor pride. He responds efficiently. He also pointedly does not acknowledge Harry or Neville.
He isn't just indifferent, however. His interactions with other Slytherins indicate prejudice, and disdain for muggle-borns, mixed blood, and "blood traitors." When Pansy implies he might be attracted to Ginny, Blaise responds by calling Ginny a "filthy blood traitor," claiming he'd never touch one regardless of appearance.
Blaise is also politically aware. In a conversation with Draco, Blaise implies that Slughorn intentionally did not invite Draco because of Lucius's reputation. This proves calculation, quiet attentiveness.
In a nutshell, Blaise is a typical prejudiced Slytherin, who happens to be part Nigerian (I believe it's Nigerian? Correct me if I'm wrong.)
