for those unaware today india experienced one of its biggest protests in half a decade. there were protests all over the nation for various causes but the major one was in delhi. all we asked for was the resignation of the education minister because he's failed the students of this nation time & time again. but we were met with brutality, the police had barricaded the main site of protest (jantar mantar). metro stations were shutdown, the public was restrained from reaching the protest site and all the adjoining areas had signal jammers to make sure the crowd had no access to constant updates. they had us blocked from all the sides. they were lathi (baton) charging students from one side & releasing tear gas from the other. you couldn't walk 100 m on streets without having a tear gas shell thrown at you. there were many students, women & kids bleeding — some from their head. some couldn't walk anymore. the police had removed their nameplates, covered their faces & acted with full impunity to resort to unprecedented levels of violence. they were pelting stones at us, beating up people for no reason, forcefully detaining them and attacking us constantly with tear gas & rubber bullets. they wouldn't let you exit either. the crowd was peaceful & looking out for each other yet they were met with violence. i made a friend who was all alone & she asked to join me & my friend because a policeman wouldn't leave her alone. he constantly prodded her for personal info, invited her back to the jeep saying they have food there, wouldn't stop following her around. you couldn't call or ask anyone for help, we were left to fend for ourselves & be on a constant lookout if you did not want to be beaten up to death by police. all for what? asking a resignation? shame on this country.

WHAT DO YOU MEANNNN SLEATER-KINNEY CAME UP AND PERFORMED REBEL GIRL WITH BIKINI KILL. AND I WASNT THERE .💥💥💥💥💥
i just don’t ever know where the balance lies between me feeling comfortable and at ease in my body and me feeling awful looking like a guy or looking like someone who’s more masculine leaning than what i want to be
my fucking problem is. i’ve only been back on t for a short while now and i feel frankly stupid going on it then off then on especially when so many people would kill to be me but it kills meeeee the idea of being seen as a man and interacting with the world in that way. and while i have some dysphoria its way better than when i first started t and i dont strictly feel like i need it anymore or at least not as much as i did when i started it. im scared though of things reversing but also im scared of things changing more but Also i was off it for months and the changes that did happen weren’t too bad at least at first but then it did start feeling weird and bad. but also i was eating like shit and my body was just generally doing pretty fucking bad and so it’s no wonder i didn’t feel comfortable. so who knows. maybe need to talk to a gender therapist or something like that but i kind of hate the idea of that
top surgery calling me but also im so scared about not having boobs to be honest liek. fuckkkkkk

”in the kingdom of the mice the one eyed cat is queen”. is something gerard said during foundations last night for some reason if anyone cares
futbol torture nexus
This is definitely ‘a discussion for another day’ type of post but I can’t help think about how much criticism Qatar copped for its hosting of the World Cup (and some of it was very valid) but instead of focusing that criticism of Qatar on its use of migrant slave labour to build those stadiums, a lot of it was the same racist projection of Qatar being homophobic and anti-women due to being an Arab/Muslim country but these same western liberals are silent over the US hosting the World Cup despite also being misogynistic and homophobic! That’s not even including everything happening with ICE etc, its funding and complicity of the genocide in Palestine, bombing Iran etc like…
when england lose, women bruise
now that the world cup is out of the way can we focus on me instead

the US is currently looting Iraq. seeing Chevron, Space X, and other US corporations pick up $60 billion worth of contracts in the country, we have to remember that the US has controlled Iraq's access to it's own oil revenue since the 2003 US led invasion. revenues that it will cut off if Iraq doesn't play ball
Following the invasion of Iraq, the US occupation of the country became a reality after the collapse of Saddam’s government. Faced with a fait accompli, the UN Security Council had to accept the new status quo.
According to International Humanitarian Law, occupation forces – in this case, the US and UK – become responsible for the well-being of the populations they occupy. So, UNSC Resolution 1483 was issued on 22 May 2003 to establish the US-led Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) as Iraq’s administrator and create the Development Fund for Iraq (DFI) to manage Iraqi oil revenues.
Note that Resolution 1483 did not mention the US Federal Reserve as the depositary of Iraqi funds, nor did it assign a location for the DFI headquarters or account. In fact, the resolution specifically states directed that the DFI should “be held by the Central Bank of Iraq.” It was the CPA, led by Paul Bremer, that decided unilaterally to house the account at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
This decision allowed the US government to maintain tight control over Iraq’s oil revenues. From that point until today, the Iraqi Ministry of Finance has had to submit requests for funds to the US Treasury, which then approves or denies these requests based on its own criteria.
This monthly transfer of US dollars – which are literally flown into Baghdad in pallets of hard cash – determines Iraq and its 40-million-population’s ability to pay for basic needs like salaries, food, and medicine.
Whenever Washington feels that Iraq is not compliant with US regional goals, these fund transfers can be delayed or reduced. In January 2020, for instance, after the Iraqi Parliament voted to expel US troops following the assassination of Iranian Quds Force General Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Deputy Commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the Trump administration threatened to freeze Iraq’s access to its oil revenues.
Today, Iraq’s financial situation remains dire. Despite having oil revenues piling up in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York – estimated today at around $120 billion – Iraq is burdened with a growing debt that matches this amount.

part of the new contracts is the restoring of an Iraq-Syria oil pipeline to bypass Hormuz
