The beach is bathed in moonlight, the wind cuts across the waves like a song. Ominous and dark. Behind him there are screams, there’s an explosion and Jean turns back to look at the firey plume. Shooting into the sky like a premature firework.

He turns away from the carnage, too much of that is already deep in his bones. He continues forward, one name and one goal forever hooked into his mind. He stumbles over his own feet, the adrenaline is wearing off. He feels the pain in his side now where two days ago he swung upside down in a trap. A piece of slim sharp metal that impaled his left side, blood weeped from the wound and for a moment Jean thought he was truly going to die. The blood has dried down at least, a sticky dry feeling that clings to his skin with sweat and dirt.

Jean and Reiner as dragons for reijean week 2026! They’re on a date but I couldn’t make the background look right so we have A Blue Gradient™️ instead.

One of the prompts was “dragons” and I already had a dragon AU for them with designs and everything… so I figured I should do something with that! I haven’t had much energy for art recently so I’m very glad I was able to actually finish something for once ❤️

Jean’s car won’t start in the morning. He turns the ignition twice, swears viciously when the engine doesn’t kick to life, and glares daggers at the dark radio display. The bus is fifteen minutes late and he’s stuck standing next to a lady with a screaming baby and a guy talking too damn loud on his phone this early in the morning. By the time he enters Scout’s Specialties, there’s a steady drizzle coming down and his work polo is damp.

“I fucking hate Mondays,” he grumbles as he approaches the coffee shop counter while bypassing the line.

“Good morning to you, too, Jean.” His best friend’s grin stretches over his face as he slides over a container of cups. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee lures him in close for a cursory sniff and he grins. “Mr. Smith put in the order and already paid.”

“You’re a saint.” He picks up the drinks container and glances around the countertop. “Aren’t you forgetting something?”

“Right. Um-“

ReiJean week 2026, day 2: Tattoos

Ok stay with me…College AU starving frat boy artist Jean realizes golden boy football star Reiner isn’t as insufferable as he thought he would be 😂 Jean definitely bought the machine off Craigslist, He gives tattoos around school for extra cash. Jean is definitely pretentious with his music tastes and only drinks IPAs, while Reiner, of course, drinks beer.

Also, this is more self serving for me because I gave Reiner the tattoo I have 🥰

I don’t have an entry for tomorrow but I should have some for the other days!

Here's my contribution to Reijeanweek2026 for the Soulmates prompt. It's only the first chapter, but I'm going to keep working on it so expect regular updates <3.

Soulmates are a part of life, Jean has always known it. You touch someone one day and surprise, you're now bonded for all of eternity. It doesn't make him want it more, far from it. Especially when fate was obviously drunk the day it decided to bond him to Reiner Fucking Braun.

Another art for reijean week 2026! This time it’s the “horses” prompt. I just gave them some extra horns. Jean is based on the Arabian breed, and Reiner is based on the Clydesdale breed!

“You were cursed.” The woman shrugs, not looking the least bit apologetic. “Five feet. You’re not going to die, but that pain…”

“Yeah, we get it.” Jean flattens a palm over his stomach, the memory still fresh.

“Do you have any recommendations? Anyone else we can go and speak with that could lift a curse?” Reiner finally speaks for the first time since their arrival and Jean cuts him a withering look. This is all his fault. “The original spell caster-“

“Is a thirteen year old that hates my guts.” Jean snarls the words and clenches his fist.
