Alright, today I’m going to be talking about a set of headcanons that I have: queerphobia (and the lack thereof) in AOT. Some of this is based on canon, and some is just me Making Shit Up. These headcanons do not necessarily reflect my personal beliefs on the LGBTQ+ community, and I think it is worth noting that I am a part of this community myself. Let’s go!
-When a large portion of the world’s Eldians went to Paradis, a lot of their culture was kept the same, except for cultural traditions that needed to be adapted to the local environment. (Like sacred plants needed to either be brought over to Paradis or replaced with other species that could be grown on Paradis). This included their attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community.
-In Eldian culture, reaching back to the time of Ymir Fritz and beyond, queerphobia was not really a thing. Romantic relationships that could produce children were seen as slightly “better” or “more valuable” than ones that couldn’t, but relationships in the latter category weren’t seen as bad or wrong or sinful. On Paradis, which was the only location during the main story where Eldian culture remained almost entirely unchanged on their attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community, gay relationships were not seen as anything unusual. Ymir could openly talk about marrying Christa as much as she wanted, and no one thought that was strange (which is based in canon). It was also accepted that some people didn’t feel romantic and/or sexual attractions. While this was again seen as “less valuable,” it also wasn’t seen as bad or wrong or sinful. This is me making shit up, because I want this to be true.
-In Eldian culture, there were three genders: man, woman, and a third gender that was neither male nor female (this would be equivalent to genders like non-binary or x-gender, and for the purposes of this post I will be using the term non-binary). Being non-binary was completely accepted and normalized. This is based on Hange Zoë, a Paradisian Eldian, being non-binary and being fully accepted by their peers, with no one (at least on Paradis) acting like their gender was unusual. Paradisians always used the correct pronouns for them, including other forms of gender neutral language (although some translations of the Japanese translation of the original Paradisian Eldian that Armin’s telling of the story was written in gave them the wrong pronouns). It was also accepted that some people switched between these genders (gender fluidity). This is second part is me making shit up, since as far as I am aware, we do not have any canon gender-fluid characters, but it would fit with my earlier headcanons. People being transgender in other ways was also accepted.
-Non-heterosexual marriage was fully legal on Paradis, and Eldian marriages worked the same regardless of the genders involved. The roles in the marriage ceremony were divided based on who proposed and who accepted the proposal instead of gender.
-It was possible to legally marry multiple people on Paradis. Very few people did it, though, because Paradisian law made it a massive pain to do. Two people had to get married first, and then they each needed to marry the third person, and each additional person after that needed to marry all of the previous members of the marriage separately. Divorces for these kinds of marriages were nightmares, but that’s just how the Titan steams away. This is, again, me making shit up entirely.
-The reason why we didn’t really see many marriages in canon was because canon focused on the Survey Corps, and it was considered bad luck for two or more Scouts to get married while all still being in the Survey Corps- that was believed to doom one of them to die in one of the next expeditions. Also me making shit up, but that’s my explanation for why ships involving the vets were never fully canonized.
-Back on the mainland, after the cultural genocide of Marleyans, the vast majority of Marleyan culture had been forgotten. This lead many Marleyans during the formation of the Marleyan Empire to try to reinvent Marleyan culture by pulling together the scraps of what was remembered. For the rest, a lot of the new Marleyan culture was based on simply being the opposite of the hated Eldian culture- including their attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community.
-Marleyan culture after the fall of the Eldian Empire became very queerphobic. Many Eldians who remained in Marley adopted the new Marleyan culture to try to assimilate with the Marleyans, and so the majority also adopted this queerphobia. It was extremely dangerous to be queer in Marley, especially if you were a queer Eldian. If you weren’t straight, cis, and allo… you had to pretend to be.
-For the purposes of these next headcanons, I’m going with my headcanons that Warrior Reiner is gay and Soldier Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie are bi. Other queer headcanons for them also work though.
-All three of these warriors (not including Soldier Reiner, who didn’t exist yet) were heavily repressed when growing up in Marley, to the point where they never really got the chance to figure out what they were. They couldn’t afford to be anything less than perfect to become warriors in the first place, and being queer was the exact opposite of perfect. However, when they went to Paradis, they experienced a truly extreme culture shock. For the first time in their lives, they weren’t Eldian devils- they were just people. This was already shocking enough, but then, they discovered that Paradisians fully accepted members of the LGBTQ+ community. At first, this was just seen as more evidence for them being evil devils. But when Jean casually said things like “my future husband and/or wife” and people didn’t immediately start beating him up, or even really seem shocked at all by those words, it taught the warriors that queerness being “bad” wasn’t an objective truth. And as they went through adolescence in the military, living very closely with other teens, they were finally able to explore their queer identities in a place where it was safe to do so. For the first time in their lives, they got to experience being truly loved and accepted- in multiple ways, including their queerness. This heavily contributed to them being conflicted towards continuing their mission- were they really willing to give up the only place they were loved and accepted? Warrior Reiner, who remained deep in denial about his sexuality all the way until after the Rumbling, pushed the other two to keep going, to disastrous results.
-Soldier Reiner, meanwhile, had always lived in Paradis according to his memories. He had no idea that anywhere else even existed. So he had no idea that there was anything other than the Paradisian attitude towards the LGBTQ+ community. This led him to be perfectly fine with being openly bi. When he fronted for the first time in Marley, after Warrior Reiner lost the Battle of Shiganshina, the fact that he had to hide this very important part of himself was one of many, many horrifying realizations that he had to have. Shoutout to Pieck for helping the poor guy figure all that out, even if it was just to keep Warrior Reiner from being killed along with him. (More of me making shit up).

Thinking about how Titanism directly leads to more possessive and obsessive behaviors in the people who have it in my AU…
It’s a known fact (among people who have more than a surface-level understanding of Titan-Shifters) that this is an issue that many Titan-Shifters face. And it stems from the parasites that cause Titanism: the Titan-Spirits.
For example: Warrior Reiner cares about humanity. If he had to choose between saving Bertholdt and saving the rest of humanity, it would destroy him, but he’d choose the rest of humanity.
At least, he would’ve, before becoming the host of the Armored Titan.
The Titan-Spirits are just as intelligent as humans, but they think VERY differently from us. To a Titan-Spirit, the only living things that matter in their own right are their own children (hosts). So to the Armored Titan, at the beginning of the Paradis Operation, the only person in the world whose wants and needs had value was Reiner.
Because of that, the only other people who have any value at all are people who their hosts are close to. So Bertholdt does matter to the Armored Titan. But he matters less than Reiner does, and his own wants and needs don’t really matter. He only has value to the Armored Titan through how he enriches Reiner’s life.
Obviously, Reiner himself does not think this way. He values Bertholdt as his own person, independent from Reiner. In fact, he even values Bertholdt more than he values himself!
But when you have something in your head that is constantly sharing its thoughts and opinions with you and is also trying very hard to get you to do what it thinks is best for you… it can be unfortunately very easy to internalize some of its views on the world and the people around you.
Reiner never stops valuing Bertholdt as his own person, and never stops caring about Bertholdt’s wants and needs. But he does start to feel a sort of ownership over Bertholdt. Bertholdt is Reiner’s “friend” more than he’s anything else. At least, he SHOULD be. And though Reiner wants Bertholdt to have fulfilling relationships outside of him and is very happy to see him get close to Marco and Armin… the thought that Reiner might not be the most important person in Bertholdt’s life genuinely makes him feel sick.
And he’s only really happy to see Bertholdt get close to Marco and Armin because Reiner is ALSO close to Marco and Armin. They’re part of Reiner’s “pack,” the people (and occasionally also animals) who the host of a Titan-Spirit is close to and cares about, and who their Titan-Spirit ALSO likes. Reiner wants his pack to get along with each other. He feels a sense of ownership over Marco and Armin too, also because of the Armored Titan, though it’s completely platonic in nature.
Reiner doesn’t hate Daz, for example. But he’s not close to Daz, and the Armored Titan doesn’t like him at all. If Bertholdt, or any of Reiner’s packmates, got closer with Daz than with Reiner, Reiner would get super jealous. And if he got jealous enough… things could get very dangerous for Daz.
Warrior Reiner cares a lot about his family. But the Armored Titan HATES everyone in his family except for Gabi, and does everything it can to eliminate Reiner’s love for them. So they’re not really part of Reiner’s pack because there’s always a voice in his head telling him to hate them too. Warrior Reiner wants Gabi to be close with the rest of their family, despite this. But he can’t stop himself from wanting Gabi to be closer to him than anyone else, including her own parents. However, Soldier Reiner ALSO hates Warrior’s entire family except for Gabi, so he often fantasizes about killing them so he can have Gabi’s attention all to himself.
This possessiveness is manageable at the start, and stays that way for a decent amount of Titan-Shifters for their whole lives. But for the rest… that feeling of ownership and possession over others builds and builds into feeling like the only one who can keep the people a particular Titan-Shifter cares about safe, the only one who deserves to be close to those people, and/or the only one who knows what those people REALLY want/need is that Titan-Shifter. And once those feelings get strong enough, it doesn’t take much for the Titan-Shifter to do something drastic about them.
There have been many cases of a Titan-Shifter previously in service to the King of Eldia going rogue, kidnapping a member of their pack (or even multiple), and running away. The Titan-Shifter became willing to hurt their loved one(s) psychologically, and even physically, all while convinced that it was for their loved one(s)’s own good.
Sometimes they got tracked down, captured, and fed to a successor. Sometimes, the King only found out that they died when a baby was discovered to hold their Titan.
Marley’s solution to this issue is to psychologically evaluate their Warriors immediately before inheriting their Titan to establish a baseline for their mental state, immediately afterward to establish a baseline for their mental state with a Titan-Spirit influencing them, and then at least once a year after that to hopefully notice any signs that they’ve become very obsessive and are about to hurt someone without permission in time to feed them to a successor before the shifter gets the chance to act on their obsessive desires.
This isn’t that effective. Especially since Reiner hasn’t been evaluated for 5 extremely formative years between his last evaluation before the Paradis Operation and the first after it. It was hard for the psychologist administering the evaluation to determine which changes were from puberty, which were from trauma, and most importantly, which were signs that he was potentially becoming dangerous to Marley and its interests. Plus, there are two very different people sharing Reiner’s body. While Warrior Reiner isn’t particularly at risk of acting on his obsessive desires… Soldier Reiner very much is. So if Soldier isn’t fronting during the evaluation, his mental state is not going to be noticed at all by the psychologist.
Of course, both Reiners, like all the Warriors, are able to just. Lie. Which meant they were able to avoid getting fed to a successor despite their fucking abysmal mental state. And it also meant that Marley wasn’t able to catch how obsessive Solider was getting about Gabi…
Gabi, of course, has read up on what Marley calls “Obsessive Shifter Disorder” and thinks she’s prepared to notice any signs that the Shifters she’s close to are developing it about anyone, and that she’s able to help them recover before things get really bad and Marley takes notice.

A. How did you come up with the title to Ouroboros?
When looking for a title for my fic, I was thinking about different things in various mythologies I could use. I started thinking about Norse mythology, which made my ADHD brain jump to my Ragnarok Dragon in the game DragonVale, which made me think of my Ouroboros Dragon that lives with him, which made the title “Ouroboros” hit me like a kick from the Colossal Titan.
A very major part of both canon and my fic are cycles. The cycle of violence from canon and the cycle of the timeloop in my fic, in particular. And these cycles destroy the people who participate in them. The ouroboros, a snake (or dragon) that eats its own tail, is a symbol of cycles (usually cycles of life, death, and rebirth). Of course, if the snake just let go of its tail, it would stop hurting and get the chance to heal. And it would also break the loop it’s created. If it doesn’t, if it just keeps eating more and more of itself… it’s not going to have a good time, let’s just say that. So I felt like it was a very good representation of my fic :) The ultimate goal of the characters on both sides of the conflict, once they find out about the timeloop, is to break it, so no future versions of themselves have to suffer like they did. Unfortunately for them, there’s only one way to do that…

“Hey guys, is everything okay over here? Did they like your plan, Armin?” Eren asked after jogging over.
Armin chewed on his hand again as he thought about what was going to happen. Because of him.
“They loved it, Eren,” Mikasa answered for him. “Now, Armin, things are going to get really dangerous when we start the plan. I’m going to talk to Commander Pyxis, and he’s going to keep you on top of the Wall. That will keep you safe. You can man the cannons and help with resupplying, and you won’t have to get near the Titans. So don’t go near the Titans. Do you understand?”
Armin bit down harder. Mikasa yanked his hand away from his mouth.
“Armin, I asked you a question.”
Armin didn’t know how to answer. He wanted to fight the Titans so badly, but he knew that arguing with Mikasa when she was like this was pointless…
“Armin, you need to answer me. Answer me right now. Armin!”
“He doesn’t need to answer you, Mikasa,” Eren snapped. “What you’re saying is ridiculous!”
“I just want to make sure that he-“
“By the Walls, he’s a soldier! He’s already fought the Titans and survived, even when I almost didn’t! You don’t need to be making these kinds of decisions for him! How is he supposed to become confident in himself like we want him to when you try your hardest to keep him away from every chance he gets to prove his strength?!”
“Why are you yelling at me?! We both care about Armin!”
“I’m not yelling, I’m just talking! You’re the one who’s getting upset for no reason!”
“I think he’s a bit annoyed with how you acted down there, Mikasa,” Armin cut in, desperate to get his friends to stop arguing. “You know he doesn’t like it when you… when you’re so… controlling…”
“And you know that he needs it!” Mikasa exclaimed.
“No I DON’T!” Eren’s suddenly much louder voice made Armin nearly jump out of his own skin. “You were so fucking frustrating down there, Mikasa! Every time I try to do something by myself, you-“
“Well maybe you shouldn’t keep trying to do stupid things that will get you killed! I-“
“Please, shut up!” Armin cried. He tried to yank his wrist out of Mikasa’s iron grip, but he just wasn’t strong enough. “Mikasa, I understand that you want us to be safe. I want you to be safe, too! But life isn’t safe. It doesn’t matter what you do, danger will find us, and we need to be pre-“
“Armin,” Mikasa interrupted firmly, shutting Armin up quickly. “I know exactly what you are capable of. You are the smartest person within the Walls. I am certain of this. And you aren’t weak. But even the strongest soldier can still get eaten if they’re unlucky, and I care too much about you to let that happen. Eren needs to be down there in order for your plan to work. I hate that, but I can’t change that. But I can protect you, at least for today- by keeping you away from the monsters that want to kill you. So I will. Just do what I’m telling you to do, so we can all make it out of here alive. Okay?”
Armin sighed. He didn’t have the energy to fight this particular battle anymore. “Okay…”
“What?! No!” Eren snarled. “Don’t give in! You’re so much stronger than you think, Armin-“
“And I agree with you on that, Eren!” Mikasa insisted. “But today is different.”
“Not really!” Eren grabbed Armin’s other wrist and pulled him towards himself. “You’re always like this! No matter the situation, you do whatever you can to keep us from doing anything!”
“I let you do plenty of things!”
“It doesn’t fucking feel like it!”
Armin couldn’t take it anymore. “Please, just stop! It’s okay, Eren. Pyxis might tell her no, anyways. And… there will be plenty of chances for me to prove myself once we join the Survey Corps, right? This battle won’t be our last. If we survive it, that is… You’re going to be in so much danger, and I don’t want what might be our last conversation together to be an argument. So… can we please drop this? For now?”
Eren growled to himself. But he let go of Armin’s wrist. “Okay. Fine. It’s your life, Armin. If you want her to keep clipping your wings… you’re free to make that choice, I guess…” Eren sighed, looking down at the ground. “But… I also don’t want our last conversation to be us fighting. I love you guys. So much. I just want us all to be happy and free forever…”
Mikasa was quiet for a moment. But she eventually let go of Armin too. “I love you guys too. I don’t mean to make you upset. I just… I get so scared… Thank you, Armin, for listening.”
Armin hugged himself. “I know. I love you two as well. Thank you for caring about me, in your own ways, both of you.”

I really like how I was able (I think so, at least) to show ema being toxic but also loving each other (or, well, the versions of each other that they think exist). Armin is enabling again, Mikasa is trying to overprotect again, and Eren is lashing out and sort of idolizing Armin again (Eren’s not really being abusive in this scene, but there are other scenes where he is). Just a few minutes later, we see Eren try to bite Mikasa because he’s so pissed off, but that uses canon dialogue so I didn’t include it here. It’s something I don’t get to read often, so I’m happy that I was able to write it :)

They sat in silence for a while.
Finally, Erwin broke it. “Bertholdt…” he began carefully. “I know that you’ve been through a lot.”
Understatement of the year.
“I want you to know that you’re not alone. I… my father, he also died when I was young. I was nine. You were eleven when you lost yours, correct?”
NO! HE’S STILL ALIVE!
“Yeah,” Bertholdt croaked out.
“My father and I were very close. He believed that humanity existed outside the Walls, and that a past King had somehow erased the memories of everyone inside the Walls. As I’m sure you know, questioning the official history is illegal. My father wasn’t supposed to think about such things, much less tell me. But I was foolish, and I told others at school. He disappeared one day, soon after the Military Police came to me to ask me about the things I’d been sharing. No one was willing to investigate- the Military Police just declared him dead. My mother had to work incredibly hard to support us, but life was still tough… she ended up falling ill and dying while I was in the Cadet Corps.”
“Oh,” Bertholdt breathed. He finally looked back up at Erwin’s face, and saw that there were tears in his eyes. He kept blinking, clearly trying to hold them back, as he stared at his hands where they clutched each other on his desk.
“I never stopped thinking about my father’s theory. And I soon began to suspect that the Military Police had something to do with his death. I asked Nile, once he became the Commander of that regiment. And he said that he couldn’t officially confirm what exactly killed my father, but that my suspicions about his death were likely accurate.” Erwin took a deep, shuddering breath. “All that is to say… I know very well what it’s like to have your father taken to the Other Side in such a cruel and unjust way when you are so young and unprepared to live without him. I loved my father. There is not a single day where I don’t wish I could see him and my mother again before Wolf takes me too.” Erwin finally looked back up at Bertholdt’s nose. “If I may ask, what was your father like?”
How could Bertholdt even go about explaining his father?
“I never knew my mother,” Bertholdt whispered, tears pricking at the corners of his eyes too. “She died giving birth to me. My dad was the only family I had. He got sick when I was really young. Really, really sick. He was dying, slowly. So he told me to join the-” Warrior program so he could get Marleyan treatment- “Cadet Corps so I could support myself when he finally… when he…” Bertholdt was fighting so hard not to cry. He tried to take a deep breath as he looked down at his lap again. “He… he tried so hard to raise me right. It was always really hard to figure out what he wanted, and he yelled a lot… but I love him. I love him so much.” He sniffled.
Bertholdt heard the sound of Erwin pushing back his chair and getting up. When Bertholdt lifted his head, he saw Erwin walk over to kneel at his side.
“Bertholdt,” Erwin said gently. “I know that I can never replace your father. And neither can any of my partners, for that matter. And I don’t want to. All I want is to give you what I needed when I was your age. Another figure you can lean on, and come to when you need help. I’m here for you. You are my son, Bertholdt. And I will always love you, no matter what.”
That shattered the last of Bertholdt’s restraint. He burst into tears, quickly trying to hide his face behind his hands as he sobbed. He felt strong arms wrap around him and pull him against a muscular chest.
“Shhh… it’s okay, Bertholdt,” Erwin murmured. “I’m here. I’ve got you.” He covered Bertholdt’s nape with a hand. Normally, only Reiner could do that without the Colossal panicking and making Bertholdt lash out. But with Erwin, it somehow made him feel very safe and loved.
The Colossal Titan keened inside of him, and sent a wave of comfort through his body.
Eventually, Bertholdt ran out of energy to cry. “I miss my dad,” he rasped, exhausted from his emotions.
There was a pause. Bertholdt felt Erwin hold him even tighter before answering with a strained voice. “Me too.”

I shared a shorter part of this scene already, but I figured I’d share a longer version here. I cried when writing this 🥲 I think I managed to write something sad in a good way that also efficiently showcases Erwin’s backstory, Bertholdt’s backstory, and strongly builds up Erwin and Bertholdt’s relationship in this fic. The “me too” kills me every time I reread it ough…

“I don’t know what the fuck you want from me!” Falco suddenly snarled, face twisting with rage as he made direct eye contact, drawing Gabi’s attention to the fact that his pupils were narrowed into slits, like a cat. Gabi realized that she’d never actually seen Falco angry before. It was scary.“Can you just shut the fuck up and pick berries with me?!”
Falco would’ve known what kind of ravens they were. And if he somehow didn’t, he wouldn’t have gotten frustrated by it. Just curious. And most importantly… Falco would never talk to her like that.
“Who are you?” Gabi growled, muscles tensing, prepared to strike.
“Does it matter? We’re friends. Now can we PLEASE just have a fun day together?!”
A moment of clarity struck Gabi, then. She knew exactly what was going on.
“You’re the Devil of All Earth, aren’t you?”
“I AM NOT A DEVIL!” he shrieked at her, as he threw the berries he was still holding in his hand to the ground. “I AM A PERSON! A PERSON! DON’T EVER FUCKING CALL ME ANYTHING ELSE!!!”
“I’ll call you exactly what you are… DEVIL!”
Gabi lunged before he could yell back, swinging the stick at the Devil of All Earth’s head. But before her hit could connect, gravity suddenly slammed her down. She fought so hard to get up. But she couldn’t break free from the force bearing down at her.
She could do nothing but watch as the Devil of All Earth screamed wordlessly in anger. He stomped on the dirt below his feet, throwing a temper tantrum like a fucking toddler. “WHY WON’T ANY OF YOU JUST DO WHAT I WANT YOU TO?! I’m TRYING to show you how WONDERFUL your life could be if you just GAVE IN! This may be just a dream, right now- but it’s a beautiful dream, right? RIGHT?!”
“What… what do you want with me, you bastard?” Gabi wheezed.
A strange sort of pain overwhelmed his furious expression. “You’re supposed to live the life I never got to live… I’m trying so damn hard to give it to you, but you keep FUCKING UP because you’re SO DAMN STUPID!”
Gabi felt offended. But more than that, she felt afraid.
“And… what… was the life… you were supposed to live?”
He grew quiet, for a moment, looking down at the ground. “I was supposed to [redacted for fic spoilers]. But… it didn’t turn out that way for me…”
He lifted his head to look at her again. “But I can make that happen for you. You WILL get everything I wanted. I don’t care if you don’t yet realize that you want those things too. You do. I know it. And because I am SO generous, I will make sure you get them. You can fight against it. You can try to kill me. You might even actually kill me, though it will never keep me gone for good. But that will all only hurt yourself. Unfortunately, I know from my own experience that nothing I say will make you quit trying to stop me. You probably never will. But that doesn’t matter. While you’re too busy trying to fight monsters you’ll never be able to truly defeat, I’ll be busy, tugging at strings until you have nothing left but the beautiful life I’ve woven for you. You piss me off. So much. But I’ve already committed to this, and people like me don’t know when to give up.”
Gabi felt fear settle into every single cell of her body as word after word stabbed into her soul. This thing was fucking insane. And unfathomably dangerous… but probably not just to her.
“Falco… why him…? What do you want… with him?”
The Devil of All Earth smirked. “He’s going to give to you one of the things I always wanted for myself. Now, this whole dream has been a massively frustrating waste of my time and effort- do you have any idea how difficult it is to design and send a dream as complicated and well-put-together as this one? I’m going to wake you up. If you tell anyone about what you saw here, I’ll kill your mom. I don’t need her for my plans. And trust me, I can make it hurt. Bye!”

I really like how I characterized [redacted] here. We finally get to see some of who they really are after 3 seasons and half a timeskip of pretty much exclusively seeing them as what they are now instead of what they originally were, and we get a good look into their motivations and mindset. Despite all the harm they’ve done to characters on both sides of the conflict, here, you also get the chance to sympathize with them, even though it’s not clear exactly what they’ve been through yet. Plus… Gabi finally meets an enemy who truly scares her, which is very fun! She’s based her entire self-worth on her combat skills, so getting instantly defeated like this and realizing that an enemy exists who she could not possibly win a fight against really shook her confidence. Plus there’s… y’know… the new knowledge that someone else has already decided her entire life and has the means to make their vision actually happen regardless of what she wants 🥲

Significance of Horse Color in Attack on Titan (aka I spend far too much time staring at the horses instead of paying attention to the action).
It’s no surprise that Attack on Titan is one of my favorite animes considering just how much I post about it on this site. What I don’t really talk about is why it’s my favorite anime because of the horses. If the rest of my tumblr hasn’t given it away, I really like horses, and it kills me when I see horses badly animated. I know that they’re difficult to draw, let alone animate, but it’s always sad to see iffy looking horses in a beautiful anime. It’s probably because I spend so much time looking at the horses in Attack on Titan that I noticed this. It was only I asked a group of Attack on Titan meta writers at Katsucon that I realized that no one had bothered to write meta about the horses, which bothered me.
