This relates to my writing because I tend to do most of my writing during the night. I usually procrastinate all throughout the day so I end up doing my work at night.

I think that my writing process will transfer to my other academic courses and help me on any future writing assignments. Having a good writing process will  help me in the future when I have to write emails or explain my ideas over text.

I do not think that my writing has improved very much. I do think that I have improved my revising skills though. I also prefer in person classes rather than online learning. I learn better in person so that may affect my improvement in my classes.

The internet has a lot of incorrect information so it is important to be cautious and do your research when choosing a source. I think that looking for the red flags and investigating the author and website are important to find a sources credibility.

This article applies to both sides of the argument by giving credible opinions by respected sources in the industry. The authors are Aaron Smith and Janna Anderson. The audience is for anyone who is interested about robots potentially taking future jobs. The setting talks about the job market being changed by the year 2025. The format is an article that consists of credible quotes stating their ideas about the topic.

When reading, “How to write the perfect sentence”, the sentence that stuck out to me was “Rookie sentence-writers are often too busy worrying about the something they are trying to say and don’t worry enough about how that something looks and sounds.”. This sentence stuck out to me because I feel like I do the same thing when I write. I tend to focus on getting my point across rather than making it sound good with the rest of the paper.

I think a peer reviewing your paper can be very helpful when writing. I like how you can get another pov on your paper and they can help you improve. 

The article “Who Will Pay for the Future if Not the Robots?” by Matt Simon has a successful argument. Matt Simon mostly uses logos and pathos when talking about the taxation on robots and laborers losing their jobs. He talks about how this could damage the economy and I think he creates a successful argument. This article’s intended audience is for anyone who pays taxes and people that could have their jobs taken by robots in the near future. 

After reading “The 11 Golden Rules of Writing Content for Your Website” some things that surprised me were the internet statistics, the inverted pyramid, and making text scannable. I can definitely incorporate the inverted pyramid technique into my writing. I think these can be very useful in writing and are important techniques to use when writing, especially online. These techniques are important because you want to keep the reader engaged and interested in your writing. 

For my pre-writing process I started with brainstorming about who has impacted my writing. After brainstorming I created an outline of my paper. My revision process was just rereading my essay a couple of times. I think the outline and revisions were the most important and helpful. For Project 2 I would like to begin working on it earlier in the week instead of waiting till the last couple of days.

Someone who has positively affected my writing would be my mom. My mom was an English major so she always checked over my papers and helped improve my writing style. She made sure I would stay on topic and keep my papers organized. She had a very positive impact on me and my writing. 

My experience with writing has never been great. I enjoy writing about topics that interest me but I struggle to write about topics that I don't connect with. I have never taken any creative writing classes. All of my English classes were reading a book and writing about it. I hope to learn new styles of writing and improve my writing in this class.
