Senpai vs Sempai
Because of “mosaic nasals” sometimes n’s sound like “m’s” or go unpronounced altogether. A common question from beginners is if senpai is spelled “senpai” or “sempai” and why.The easiest answer is that the correct romaji translation is senpai, because there is no stand alone m in Japanese. (Romaji is the use of the English alphabet to spell Japanese words.) In Japanese, senpai is spelled せんぱい. The Japanese kanna ん corresponds with the romaji “n”. The only kana representing m sounds are maま, miみ, muむ, meめ,and moも. However, phonetically senpai is often pronounced like sempai. So, it is not phonetically wrong to write sempai. I would discourage it, however, using an “n” is most appropriate when thinking in terms of how you would go from English spelling to Japanese.
why did I make these

I dyed my hair last night and this morning I woke up and it looked like somebody murdered a dangan ronpa character
Oscar is a therapy cat living in the Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, Rhode Island, U.S. since 2005. He came to public attention in 2007 when he was featured in an article by geriatrician David Dosa in the New England Journal of Medicine. According to Dosa, Oscar appears able to predict the impending death of terminally ill patients by choosing to nap next to people a few hours before they die. Hypotheses for this ability include that Oscar is picking up on the lack of movement in such patients or that the he can smell biochemicals released by dying cells.
Oscar inspired an episode of the TV show House, “Here Kitty”, which involves a cat that had predicted numerous deaths by curling up next to dying victims’ bedsides.

Hello.
Legit had a dream last night that Thomas the tank engine fell off the railway to the afterlife into purgatory and spent centuries trying to escape a ghost train sweatshop, only to end up back in the real world as a lost and confused human, distraught that his chance at a peaceful train death had been ripped from him.
I don’t know what I did last night to cause this but I need to never do it again.
#WHY THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE?#Why was he on the tracks to train Valhalla what had killed this beast of the ages?#Why did escaping the sweatshop lead him back to the real world instead of letting him move on?#Why did train purgatory resemble a foggy Scottish moor?#Why did the real world he showed up in resemble feudal Japan???
I’ve only just remembered upon retelling this dream to my friend and had to rush here before I forgot it again. I explicitly remember human Thomas’ last words upon looking morosely out upon feudal Japan were very close to “I did not waste so many of my years to end up back on this miserable planet.”
Like, if this dream had featured humans or frankly ANYTHING other that a sentient train it would have been totally serious. There was not a single funny moment in this dream WHY WAS IT THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE?!
I made this fanart instead of eating breakfast
I cannot BELIEVE this.
