This is my personal testimony from today 6/16/26
A few days ago, I was standing at my kitchen sink feeling discouraged.
For months, weâve been trying to sell our house and get approved for a mortgage. What should have been a straightforward process has been filled with delays, setbacks, and one obstacle after another. After a while, I found myself struggling to keep believing that everything would work out.
While standing there at the sink, I felt the Lord speak clearly to my heart:
I held onto those words, but I also wrestled with them. I didnât want to assume I had heard from God when it was really just my own thoughts. I remember saying that I needed reality to line up with what I felt the Lord had spoken. I needed confirmation.
For the next two days, I searched for reassurance. I prayed. I waited. I looked for some sign that I had truly heard from Him.
Then I started watching videos from a woman named Summer Slovak. In her videos, she approaches strangers, asks if she can pray for them, learns their names, asks what they need prayer for, and then prays with them right where they are, asking to hold their hands.
After watching several of those videos, we went out to eat. As we were leaving the restaurant, I remember thinking, âI wish someone would pray for me like that.â
As we drove away, I noticed a man standing across the street holding a sign that said, âCan I pray for you?â
But almost immediately, I felt strongly that we needed to go back. I thought, âWhat if this is from the Lord? What if God sent him to encourage us?â
The manâs name was Sean.
We pulled up and he came walking down the hill he was standing on.
Sean introduced himself, asked our names, asked what we needed prayer for, and then asked if he could hold our hands while he prayed. It was the exact same pattern I had been watching for over an hour in those videos.
Then, in the middle of his prayer, he said these words:
âThe Lord will do it.â
Those were the exact words I had heard from the Lord while standing at the sink two days earlier.
In that moment, I knew God had heard me.
Not only did Sean unknowingly repeat the very words God had spoken to my heart, but the entire encounter mirrored what I had just been watching online. After two days of searching for confirmation, God answered in a way that was personal, specific, and impossible for me to ignore.
What if I had not turned around when I felt the spirit leading me?
What touches me most is that God cared enough to meet me in my doubt.
He saw my struggle to keep believing.
He saw my desire to know whether I had truly heard Him.
For me, this wasnât a coincidence. It was a reminder that God sees us, hears us, and knows exactly how to encourage us when our faith grows weary.
A few days earlier, the Lord had said:
And then He sent confirmation. He converged a word in the spirit into reality.
