Something is changing in America, and Christians need to be willing to talk about it.
Look at Dearborn, Michigan. Look at the rapidly growing Muslim communities in parts of Texas and elsewhere. Look at Muslim politicians increasingly holding public office. American citizens absolutely have the constitutional right to worship, vote and run for office regardless of their religion—but Christians also have the right to examine what a religion actually teaches and ask what happens when religious ideology collides with American constitutional government.
And we need to stop being afraid to actually open the books and read them.
The Qur’an contains passages that say, “kill them wherever you find them” (Qur’an 2:191), while another well-known passage commands fighting particular polytheists after the sacred months (Qur’an 9:5).
Long before Islam existed, Scripture tells us about Abraham and Hagar, Sarah’s handmaid, and their son Ishmael.
Genesis 16:12 says of Ishmael:
“He will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him…”
Some translations render the Hebrew expression “a wild donkey of a man.”
I believe there is spiritual significance in this history, and Christians should be paying attention to what is happening around them.
But this isn't an excuse to hate Muslim people. A Muslim is a human being made in the image of God and someone Christians should desire to see come to Christ.
At the same time, loving Muslims does NOT require Christians to embrace Islam.
Christianity and Islam fundamentally contradict one another concerning Jesus Christ.
America must remain a country governed by the Constitution.
Christians: know your Bible. Know what the Qur’an actually says. Know what our Constitution protects. Watch what your elected officials actually say and do instead of blindly trusting either politicians or headlines.
Most importantly, do not compromise Jesus Christ simply because the culture tells you that every religion ultimately leads to the same God.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
We need to stop sitting at home in front of our computers , phones or whatever else and take a STAND. The have long hated America and what we have stood for, but people have allowed them to come into our country and burn our flags while chanting "Death to America! " Not every Muslim feels this way, but we need to fight back against those who DO.
Why is it that everyone can do blasphemous things to Jesus and the bible and God, but if one person says anything about Islam, there is uprising? Stop being lukewarm. Take a stand for Christ. Take a stand for your country.
