solarguided:
they had decided to go for a stroll- just the two of them, while pyrrhus and kairos stayed home to cook dinner for the family. penny had been wanting to go and buy some pastries to have them ready for whenever her uncle zahida visited- they had to be ready, she told them, they couldn’t not be ready to receive her uncle with the best things. so there they were, walking to her favorite place to get those pastries.
at least, that was the plan- because penny moved her chair on her own and headed to pull on someone’s clothes- a blond person, someone leo hadn’t seen before. she tugs on his clothes, readily and happily- leo quickly catches up to her to avoid her getting in trouble, though she seems to know what she’s doing.
❛ sir libra! ❜ she beams, smiling brightly once their attention is on her. ❛ do you remember me, sir libra? i bet you don’t! did you know i got adopted? did you, did you? ❜ she points at leo, who just got to her side and he’s looking quite apologetic.
❛ ah… pardon her, she’s… quite friendly and exciteable… though, she seems to know you. oh, um- ❜ leo extends his hand, offering it to say hello. ❛ my name is leónidas- i’m penny’s father. nice to meet you! ❜ // @reesespieces
The children always came and went at the orphanage and, while Libra would miss them, they only hoped the best for them. All that mattered was that they were healthy, safe, and protect, and if they found a new home where they could be happy, then all the better. Libra was content.
Yet, it’s always nice when they have an opportunity to see them again. And when they see a familiar face—Penny, dear Penny—at the market, they can’t help but smile at the sight of her joyfully smiling beside her new parent. They expect they will simply savor the sight and then continue on there way, but are surprised when Penny looks straight at them and bounds on over, absolutely full of enthusiasm.
“Penny,” They greet her, a hand moving to calmly pat her head, “Of course I remember you. And I cannot express how happy I am to see you’ve found a home.” Libra had tried their best to make the orphanage a home, but of course they were happy to see the children find a true home.
At hearing a man’s voice, they look up to see a man that had accompanying her, assumingly her new father. “I do not mind at all,” they answer the man calmly and cheerfully, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Leónidas. Penny here was once of the children I cared for in the orphanage I run... You have my thanks for giving her a proper home.”
