“Maybe we can save McDonald’s for another time,” she chuckled, looking at him while he drove, “I happen to really like their ice cream.” Noel took a minute to look out the window as the car neared the pier restaurant. When Reed spoke again, she couldn’t help but laugh a little. “I’m still thinking about it,” she teased before shaking her head and continuing, “I’m kidding. I wouldn’t do that to you again.” Noel laughed again, all the while cringing at the thought of the other times she’d slapped him when he initiated a kiss. “Okay but in the event that we get into trouble, you’re taking the blame for it.”

Reed laughed and nodded his head a few times, “Yes McDonalds is totally for the second date,” he teased, before pouting a little and chuckling to himself and then frowning a little, “How about you think of that until the end of the night, and then if you tell me yellow, I won’t make the move,” he teased, before parking the car and getting out, walking to her side and opening the door for her, “I just hope you enjoy this date, I know you haven’t been on one in ages and I just, want to be a decent one,” he started to ramble.

Noel was extremely happy about where he was taking her for dinner and appreciated that he remembered how she told him about it. “Hm, I’ll have to have a think about that one.” She laughed softly as he nudged her, getting in the passenger’s seat when Reed opened the door for her. “Tried harder with the date? Reed, I consider being asked out by you a privilege in itself. You could take me to McDonald’s and I’d be happy with it.” She laughed softly, but still being completely serious about what she’d just said. The girl swiftly put her seat belt on and looked at him again, smiling. “I’ll be happy with whatever we get up to tonight. As long as it’s not too illegal and everything.”

Reed looked at her with a smile, “You honestly are pretty darn interesting,” he said with a laugh before listening to her, “I just feel like you deserve a good date,” he whispered closing the door and shaking his head with a chuckle, getting into the driver’s seat. “Oh we can totally go to McDonalds if you want, I do like their Iced Coffee,” he teased before driving towards the pier, excited just to see what would happen on this date, “So just tell me something before the date goes further, I won’t get slapped if I try to kiss you at the end of the night right?” He asked, teasing her a little as he smiled. “Illegal? Oh but what’s the fun in legal activities?”

She took the compliment with a smile, the rose and then finally took his hand, “thank you very much.” As he went on to describe the plans for their date, Noel nodded along, finding it pretty ideal for her. It also helped her to calm down from the nerves a little and she hugged him back, giggling softly as he kissed her cheek. “Simple first, reckless later. I like it.” She smiled, stepping out and closing the door before locking it. “Okay so,” she began, taking his hand again and leading them down the porch steps, “am I allowed to know what we’re doing or are you going to torture me by making me wait?” It was clear she had come out of her nervousness quite a bit, her playfulness showing.

Reed smiled and then pulled her down the front steps of her house, and he lead her towards the car. He laughed a little at her, and then held her close as he walked down with her. “Oh but torturing you would be so damn fun!” He teased, before smiling and then looking at her. “Well, the dinner is at the pier, that restaurant that you were telling me about a few weeks ago,” he started, “and then reckless, well that depends on what you’re in the mood for,” he nudged with a smile. The boy unlocked the car and then opened the door for her, leaning against the car door a little as he stared at the girl. “But really, you look really pretty tonight, had I known I would have tried harder.”

While getting ready for Reed to pick her up, Noel ended up thinking about how the last date she went on was a first date with a guy she ended up dating, and ultimately hating in the end. She knew that Reed definitely wasn’t that guy but it still didn’t stop her from thinking about it and how she’d pretty much edged around dating since. But Reed was different and she was prepared to chance it this time. Nerves struck when she heard the knock on the door but she sucked it up, grabbed her keys and phone, opened the door and smiled brightly at the man on the other side. “Hey, you.” Noel couldn’t point out why but just seeing him made her just that little but more nervous, and she hoped it wasn’t showing too much.

He smiled as she opened the door, before taking a deep breath, “You look beautiful,” he whispered, handing her the rose with a smile on his face. He held his hand out for her, hoping she would take it. “A simple date, I mean, we know a lot about each other, and although I’d rather us go on a reckless date where we cause problems...” he trailed, smirking a little, “But a girl like you deserves a proper first date,” he admitted with a laugh, before pulling her into a hug, and kissing her cheek, “Now let’s go, because if the first part of the night goes good, then maybe I’ll give you a reckless night after all.” He said with a laugh, hoping she actually wanted to spend the night with him.
