After a moment of hesitation, Scott reached up and took his hand, resting his chin on his knees. “Care to join me?”

“I’d like that very much,” he smiled, lacing their fingers together and squeezing his hand.

“Had me at Hello...”

At the knock Sera Jumped, lost in a thought that had taken her to a life long past, she had spilled a bit of her tea in her surprise. The smell hit her first, She crouched. A wolf, every instinct in her screamed to attack. She held her silence, and her tongue. The smell was distant, familiar, but strange and new all at the same time. Scars deep in her heart started to tear anew. Wolves weren’t welcome in her shop since both Damon and Hamon had left her over a year ago. Her deep seated distrust of them had been stirred fresh after Hamon’s disappearance. Reminders of a love lost to time once again. 

There was always the nagging question in the back of his mind of if she would even want him back. He would not blame her for hating him, a year was a long time to wait for someone who didn’t bother contacting. Though it hurt to think that she may have moved on and would prefer him to leave, he just had to be sure she was at least safe. With a deep breath in he knocked on the door a fourth time. Her scent was strong and he could tell she was inside. “Sera,” he called out in an even tone. 

“Yeah, well, it’s not like… not like I’ve been around either…” Scott pulled his knees up to his chest, and then looked between Hamon and the water. “Well?”

“Is it alright that I came back?” Hamon asked as he looked over Scott, worried that he didn’t do this right and that he should maybe go. 

It takes an uncomfortably long minute for him to think and answer, searching himself for the truth. “I don’t know. But I’m willing to wait and see.”

“I’m glad to hear that,” he smiled tenderly offering his right hand to Scott. Nothing more than simply wanting to hold his hand and feel his familiar touch.
