hello i am omi/zain i use they/them and ey/em pronouns, i wrote trsns for the redstoner au and helped create the fallen london au (fl!au). also psa: you are allowed to create whatever you like having to do with my writing, be it fic or art or other thing, and do tag/link me in it! i love seeing what people make and i don’t bite, i promise!

this blog is MOSTLY INACTIVE. i will still occasionally reblog fanart i like, or wax poetic about the halcyon days of season 6, and i'll still answer asks. other than that though this blog isn't used much any more

Redstoner AU:

it was called 20218 because it was from 2018 and i didn't have any better ideas. so it was going to be from the perspective of pix and zloy, two satellites thousands of years in the future. i hadn't quiiiiite worked out if they were watching people play minecraft or watching a minecraft world (i believe the latter but it was like. seven years ago) but i DID have which satellites they were down

pix was the prospero x-3, a british satellite that still exists though contact was lost in 1973

zloy was the zond 2, a soviet craft that was meant to do a flyby of mars but missed

i worked REALLY hard to find satellites that a) started with the same letter as their names b) were from the countries the real people are from and c) were likely to still exist. still super proud of that tbh

i wanted to explore Why people built things in minecraft, why they played tegg, why the world gets filled with empty buildings and useless items before they start all over again. i was going to have screenshots from videos, maybe do some screen recordings of the world download or something, have it formatted at least vaguely similar to 17776 somehow though lord knows how i would distribute it.

it's sort of a shame it never went anywhere, it was one of the more unique ideas i had for a fic, and i always wanted to do something with the hermitcraft recap duo

under the cut is some screenshots of an early draft, its largely trite and silly and also seven years old so don't judge it too hard

it is some incredibly self indulgent painfully mushy christmas fluff that i wrote 3 years ago and was too scared to share till now
