 maybe it was a kryptonian thing ( clark had told him about doing the same, after all ), listening in on heartbeats from a distance. conner felt like a bit of a creep for doing it, but honestly, it was necessary with tim, or wouldn't be able to tell when he was still awake and needed some nagging to go to bed.

ᡕᠵデᡁ᠊╾━ ​ ┈⌯⁍𖦏 Jason stares at him like a rabid dog. Wide eyes and tense form, peering at him with blown wide pupils. He was tied down to the med bay bed. Four point restraints keeping his hands down. Jason tests the padded cuffs on his wrist again, though gets no where other than the clink of metal. He could peel the skin off of the other bird's face if he got closer.

His head falls back against the pillow and he stares up at the cave ceiling. He imagined coming back here and blowing the place to ash, not brought back a prisoner. The monitors betrayed him. Showing his rabidly beating heart when Tim came into the space even when he tried to portray something docile.

His strength was sapped after the fight and whatever was in the IV at his arm. He want it out. He wants his hands free. Cuts and bruises littered his form though he hopes the younger felt as lousy as him. He hopes the Bat and Nightwing can hear him haunting their space.

He wonders if Tim stays at the end of the bed so he can't bite him. It was pretty good insight if he was.

The fight was really lost after his leg was snapped. It was hard to fight all three bats when he couldn't stand. He feels Tim check the dressing at his leg and hisses some. He trashes, loud clanging coming from bound arms. Glaring at the younger with the promise of harm if he could reach him. ❝ 「 DONT TOUCH ME. 」 ❞ He growls quietly in warning.

He doesn't think they've been this close without Jason actively trying to kill him.

‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎SURVIVAL MODE KICKED IN quickly for all of them. that much was abundantly clear, eyes wide beneath his domino mask as tim merely followed orders. this was ... this was his first time back here, wasn't it ? bruce almost managed to mask his expression entirely.

‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎almost. there was a grimace there, pain that he had carried for as long as tim had known him. he kept his mouth shut, focusing instead on the bandages. the thrashing was expected, taking a breath.

‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎“ we have to check, jason. please, can you set everything aside for just one tiny second ? we need to know if it's clean. ” ' we ' was used very specifically, because tim was certainly the very last person jason gave a shit about in this scenario. he was probably the worst choice to even check his bandages in the first place, realistically.

a smile threatens to bloom on his lips, but dick wills it away. not that he undermined @redrke's authority, of course not, but he couldn't help but think about how cute his brother was when he was being serious. it seemed like not too long ago that tim was a preteen solving bruce and his identities like they were nothing, and not long after becoming robin and making his own team. it makes a fond smile curl on his lips despite himself, pride washing over him. but serious business was serious business, and he schools his expression a moment later, nodding at tim to continue.
