As Christians, it should be in our interest to understand God. Not just understand what He is as if He's a concept. Not just understand how He is as if He's a system. We should be trying to understand who He is as a person as well. Despite not being human, we can tell from the Bible that God has personality and emotions. I mean, just look at the beauty of His creations! Now, this doesn't mean we shouldn't try to understand how things work with Him, like with sin and judgement and whatnot. I simply am saying we shouldn't just be looking for what He is or how He is. We should be looking for what, how, and who God is.

We're meant to help and uplift each other, treating one another as equals and with kindness. Even if someone has some kind of condition, some kind of disability, some kind of disorder, we should treat them with respect and kindness just as much as we would anyone else. No one is any lesser than anyone just because one can do more and functions differently from the other. We should still share God's love with them all, not act differently just because they're a little different. And we shouldn't share God's love because they are different, either. We should share it because they are like anyone else: a human worthy of love, kindness, and respect.

God doesn't give us all the exact same handful of struggles. Some get it way worse than others. Still, we shouldn't downplay others' struggles. Some things that seem smaller to us are way bigger deals to other people, and we should take that into consideration. Be patient and understanding, realizing that whether or not we've been through worse doesn't determine how they should feel about their own issues. Instead of belittling and ignoring others through hard times, we should let them know that we're here to support them.

There's no need to worry so much about how you look or how you act or what you enjoy. I'm not saying that you can't get braces or fix bad behavior or stay away from things that could mentally harm you, but there's no need to do that to fit into a mold. I've heard of people limiting their emotional expression in order to avoid wrinkles. Just because you're a guy, doesn't mean you have to be nonchalant or whatever, and being a woman doesn't mean you can't enjoy working on cars and stuff. Appreciate yourself. It isn't as fun to laugh without smiling. It's nice to have someone around who can brighten a dull day, and knowing how to fix your vehicle is something anyone should be grateful for! God made you, and not everything is a hurdle to be jumped over. Sometimes, the things we see as trouble are blessings. Hopefully this post wasn't too hard to understand.

There are many ways to please the Lord, and, while that does include spending time with him by reading the Bible, praying, singing praises, and so on, we tend to forget that we also please the Lord when we do what's right. We please the Lord by helping and supporting others, by serving others, by loving others, things like that. Don't think for a second your good deeds go unseen. He sees them, and He is pleased with them.

It's important that we aren't stepping into the day expecting everything to be nice and perfect. After all, this world is fallen. However, being pessimistic isn't very good, either. The Bible speaks a lot about having faith, and it is important to do that. Don't look at the world through grim, gray glasses, and don't look at it through rose-tinted glasses. The world is fallen, but God is still ultimately in control. Expect disappointment and expect satisfaction.

Hello, everyone! I want to talk about the romantic kind of relationships. You know, girlfriend and boyfriend. The Bible says a lot about this kind of relationship, and I'm going to try to word what I want to say carefully. The Bible talks about marriage before that next step, and I fully agree because (but not just because) it's in the Bible. I also agree with it because marriage is that step you take when you decide you want to live life with this special someone, be together, live together, all that good stuff. However, DO NOT just marry so that you can take that next step. You should be marrying for love, not even considering that next step until you know for sure that you'll love this person and love to live with this person until the end. Even so, don't decide you do know for sure and marry too quick or too young. Be patient. Take things slowly. The Lord is perfect, and dedicating ourselves to Him is a great thing to do. People, however, are not perfect, so we should be slow and careful with things. You don't need to be dating or married or with children. Keep yourself safe and take things slow. God bless you all!

Hey, everyone! Happy last-two-hours-of-Friday! The Bible often makes the relationships in our lives important, and that's because they are, especially our relationship with Him. Our relationships with other people, however, can still help us and them. It could uplift, secure help when needed, provide another supportive pillar when needed. It's important to be careful about who you choose as your friends, but it's also very important to be open to making new friends so long as they do meet the standards.

Be sure to pray for your enemies or anyone who generally upsets you. Instead of praying on their downfall, pray that they improve. Most of us don't really like the idea of people we don't like getting better. We'd rather they face consequences. And yes, it's okay that we want that, and we can pray that the Lord will take the situation into His hands and deliver justice, but we should still pray for them to get better. At the end of the day, we all have a common enemy, even if some don't know it.

God says that no one is better than another, that we're all equal, yet we can agree that we're all different, right? Despite that, he tells us not to treat another lower than ourselves, so those differences do not make us any better or worse than anyone else. Us all being different means people with the same differences are different from each other, too. Some people who enjoy rock may be superfans while others may just enjoy what they happen to come across. You probably see where I'm getting at with this. No one of the same race is the same. They may go through similar experiences and such, but they are not the same. You should not act or treat another person based on a stereotype. And no, you don't get a pass based on your race, either. If it's racist for a white person to call a black person a racial insult (which it is), it's racist for a black person to call a white person a racial insult. You can not say you hate racism, then turn around and do exactly what you call racist. This may sound a bit aggressive and rambly, but racism is genuinely disgusting, and too many people act like they aren't or somehow don't realize that they are racist. It's especially upsetting when I see Christians do it because we should know much better. Love one another as yourself, as the Bible says. God bless you all.

I forgot to make a first of the month post. Sorry for that! It's not really something I thought to do every month; I've just done it a few times, so maybe I should make it a monthly thing? You don't need to be hanging around someone you know is not good to be around. Sure, there may be times where you don't have much of a choice, but there's no need to be friends with them. The Bible tells us to choose our friends carefully, and that's because our friends may shape us to a degree. This doesn't mean you have to be blatant enemies and turn your nose up at them. It just means to choose your friends carefully, ones you know have good hearts, and preferably ones who believe in Christ.

Jesus died on the cross for all our sins, past, present, and future, so that we may be saved if we believe. However, that doesn't give us a free pass to just apologize and move on with our day. Just because we're saved and forgiven, doesn't mean we're suddenly on the right track again. We should be avoiding sin, not just apologizing for it but making an effort to assure it happens less and less. Of course, this is easier said than done, so be sure to ask God to help you grow each and every day and to get better each and every day!

We shouldn't be just blindly following others. Yes, that includes other Christians and even pastors. Everyone makes mistakes, and no human is perfect, so we shouldn't be completely unwilling to look into things ourselves. On the other hand, challenging everything someone says isn't all that good either and can just end up making you look pretty bad if you tend to be wrong. Be sure that you can listen to others but still go your own path and disagree if you think they're wrong. We shouldn't be following other people; we should be following Jesus.

As Christians, we should want to help our fellow human beings spiritually, but we should also want to help them in other ways, too. One of these ways is kindness to lift their mood and make even just an hour of their day even just a pinch better. We can easily do this through words, but we can also do this through actions, which can include words. We can compliement them, check on them, share with them, and pray for them. Reflect that light.

Sometimes, we can really hate to lend a hand, to offer assistance, to be asked to do something, but we should be able to help where needed in love. It's what God calls us to do. Still, understand that you're not always going to be eager, and sometimes you have to help even despite not wanting to. Sometimes, we just really can't help. Sometimes, we need a moment to decompress and can't give that up. That's okay. As long as no one is desperately in trouble or anything, that is. Sometimes, we'll be glad to help. Sometimes, we'll be annoyed to help. And sometimes, we simply can't.
