Though not everyone celebrates it, Happy 4th of July, everyone! I'm not gonna lie, I don't exactly know what to say about it, but I can use it to remind everyone to love yourselves and be lovely, independent people! That being said, it's still okay to rely on others from time to time. Don't stress yourself out with doing everything by yourself. Don't ignore it when you need help. Be independent, but

Sometimes, we forget just how much God loves us. He made us in His image. He sent His own begotten Son to die on the cross for our sins. He's forgiven us for so many things and continues to. He gave us the Holy Spirit to strengthen our conscience. He's given us so many blessings, both blessings we recognize and blessings we don't recognize. As much as we all know these things, sometimes we forget that the Lord really does love us, that there's more awaiting us after this life. Thank You, Lord for Your unconditional love, and I pray You'll let all others truly feel it.

I'm sure you've heard the saying "Be a leader, not a follower." Being a leader comes with responsibility, and if you wish to be someone who can lead others well, you must be willing to hear them out and offer them time and love. Being a leader isn't about driving others to do what you want. It's about driving others to do what is best. Of course, seek the Lord. Even as a leader of human beings, be a follower of Christ. Always look to God for guidance because where you're being guided is where the people who trust you may be guided as well.

Art is a major form of expression. This is true for all forms of art (visual arts, music, choreography, writing, performing arts, etc.) Using these things, we can convey so much to others, and I think it's amazing how God allows for such expression, especially considering that He is quite creative Himself. Just look at all the beautiful things of the world and the descriptions of a Heaven! So thank You, Lord, for allowing such great expression through these art forms, and, if you're an artist of any kind, may God bless you, and may you be inspired to do great things with your art!

Please don't disregard your health. God put you here for a reason, and there are many obstacles we have to face, but please keep your health in mind. Don't give in to peer pressure or the fear of missing out and do something you know you shouldn't. If your friends or anyone is unaware they're hurting you with their words, still put a stop to it. Don't eat less than you should be just to fit in to some ideal, and don't eat way more than you should be. Love the Lord, love your neighbors, and love yourselves. Look out for yourselves, and try your best to keep healthy. God bless you!

Someone once said something quite smart to me. They said that having a crush and liking someone are two different things. I personally don't think many people see the difference. How she put it, having a crush is a spur of the moment, temporary thing that wears off as time goes on. It's more of a nice thought, a fantasy. Often, a crush is brought on by how someone looks or how they act, but it's not really what you'd want for a long-term relationship. It's simply nice to think about. Liking someone is something that doesn't quite wear off like a crush does. You can see yourself with this person, happy and in love. And there is a distinction. You see yourself with this person, not your ideal version of this person. You love this person as they are, not as who they could be. Making this distinction and waiting a while before acting can help you in the long run, I believe. We are told in the Bible to choose our friends carefully, and I believe that likely applies lots more with our romantic partners.

Some people would defend their friends or take their side on something when they know said friends are in the wrong. It usually doesn't help much when we do that. We should be honest with our friends so they can improve rather than letting them think they did nothing wrong. Now, does this mean you have to make a show out of making your friend look bad and making the other look completely innocent when they may not be? No. It simply means to let your friend know when they're wrong so they can do their best to do their best and be their best. God wants for us to help each other out, not watch each other stagnate.

We take the days we live for granted, but not everyone wakes up on the days we have. Not everyone has the ability to wake up and just go to school or go to work. Not everyone lives comfortably. There's value in the things we take for granted. We've been given yet another day, and some of us are lucky enough that this day is relaxing or fun or generally comfortable. For that, I thank the Lord. To those who may be reading who don't have it as easy, I pray your situations will only get better from here and that you'll begin to thrive. Keep pushing forward. People would do very many things for some money. It's understandable, seeing how tough things can get, but you shouldn't do something that hurts you or others or makes you or others uncomfortable for some money. God didn't just give you life to struggle and survive. Look to Him to grant you a path. You shouldn't have to suffer to make a living. May God bless you with a path that allows you to succeed and thrive!

Be patient. Follow the path the Lord plans for you, and remember that His way is the best way. Don't try to rush ahead of Him or give up on what He wants for us. Keep going down the path, careful not to stray far enough that you won't be able to find it again. Remember to ask God for guidance and to follow said guidance over your own. Of course, don't forget that God is always with you, and, if you can't figure out where He wants you to go, always be sure to pray before you start going down a path.

There's no need to rush through life or stay stagnant. Let the Lord set your pace and go forward, careful not to miss what's important and not to stop growing. We all have things we can learn and experiences we can grow from, and, sometimes, we may feel like we've grown enough or like we need to be perfect so as to not make mistakes. Well, the truth is that we're never going to have no area to grow in, and we're never going to be perfect. Let the Lord guide your way, giving you lessons at the right pace.

It's important not to lie about a promise. God's made multiple promises that we can find in the Bible, and He makes sure to hold up His end of the deal. If one were to make a promise but not hold up their end of the deal, they'd have lied. And, of course, there are times where we can't do that, but I'm specifically talking about situations where you can but don't. Breaking a promise chips away at trust. It's especially bad to break a promise with God. Remember, don't make a promise you can't keep.

I just realized I didn't do a post for Father's Day, and since I did one for Mother's Day (at least I'm pretty sure I did) I should do one for Father's Day. Sorry for being late! To anyone reading this who is a father, I hope you had a good day yesterday and will continue to have a good day today. For anyone who is not only a father but a dad, congratulations, and you are appreciated for all the work you do for your family. You may wonder why I said different things for the same word. Well, some people are fathers but aren't there for their children or don't treat them well, and I believe it's right to acknowledge and appreciate the love and work that a dad, blood-related or not, does that some fathers don't. If you have someone you can proudly call your dad, appreciate them greatly. He deserves it. If you don't, then I'm sorry, and I pray that you continue on happy despite that. Most of all, thank You, Lord, for being a Father and a Dad who loves us all unconditionally more than any human being could love anyone or anything. God bless you all!

I've heard people who think it doesn't matter what harm they do to the environment because this earth will be destroyed eventually anyway. The thing is, we don't know when that will happen. For all we know, it could happen tomorrow or it could happen two thousand years from now. When I think of this, I wonder what world the children who share my blood centuries from now will be in. I think it's best not to contribute to pollution and harming the earth more than we have to. Obviously, things like cars and whatnot will still be needed, but there are just some things some people can do better for the earth that God has let us live this long on. God bless you all.

Please do not harm yourself or others to reach a goal! It's said in the Bible that God won't give us temptations we can't overcome, so trust that the Lord will help you reach any goal you have that He wants for you to reach. Sometimes, it may seem grueling. Sometimes, it may seem impossible. Regardless, if there's a way that doesn't require harm to be done, I believe it should be taken, and, if there isn't, you may have to take some time and ask yourself and God if it's a goal worth pursuing.

Do not rely on AI! AI is not always correct, especially when it comes to subjective things. If you want know something important dig a bit deeper even after reading that AI overview. If you want to make a story but can't write well, learn to write better or just have bad writing. If you have an idea for a picture but can't draw well, then learn to draw or draw badly. Same thing goes for music and mental health and studying; do not rely on AI! God has given us plenty for our intellectual, creative, and basic wants and needs. AI seems powerful and like a huge step in a great direction, but it's actually harmful, using up resources, contributing to sloth, and sometimes creating a scary dependence. This generative AI stuff seems like a gift from God, but I think He'd rather us work with our own minds and depend on Him rather than a man-made model. At first, it didn't seem all bad, but it's gone too far!
