i think about this tiktok literally every day
i do think that unnecessarily bolding and CAPITALIZING and italicizing words is hilarious BUT furthermore i’ve found that with my ADHD it makes it easier to read large blocks of text for whatever reason. it feels like giving my brain something to hold onto, as opposed to those slippery unenhanced blocks of text that i just get lost in.
is this just me? bc it feels like an adhd thing here’s a slippery version for contrast

first one?
beautiful.
second one?
incomprehensible, uncouth, eloped with my youngest sister Helen in the night,
You seem to find it easier to read BLOCKS OF TEXT which are EMPHASIZED in KEY LOCATIONS. This habit likely stems from an UNKNOWN ELEMENT of your PAST, of which you have VAGUE MEMORIES.
hi please do not say that thanks
Who started this

Pros of having ADHD:
Can track prey for hours without losing focus
Special interest: basket weaving
Always fidgeting - banging rocks together and discovers flint-knabbing
Distracted by berries
Stimming by making noises, discovers the sksksk that lures out squirrels
Can't sleep at night, great at guarding the cave while family sleeps
Sensitive senses means discovering and refusing to eat rotten/poisonous food
Sees bird eat nut - impulsively tries it too and discovers that nuts taste good
Cons of having ADHD:
Can't do homework
Impulse buys
Can't use a calendar
Can't sit still in classroom
born in the wrong generation
Well fuck
big boy. big fire-type friend.

dis true
online university is just *hyperaware of how itchy I am in a zoom meeting* *opens an email and forgets to respond to it* *lack of focus* *lack of focus* *lack of focus* *headache from staring at a screen all day* *constantly snacking* *fantasizes about dropping out* *zero motivation because you need tangible in-person class time to feel like you’re in a course and right now this just feels made up* *misses campus* *loathing* *frequent bathroom breaks* *frustration bc my brain doesn’t like digital readings* *romanticizes last fall semester* *timing when to join the zoom class so you aren’t the only one in there with the prof but you aren’t too late* *cheats on quiz* *NaViGaTiNg UnCeRtAiN TiMeS*
Honestly please can we just normalise nonverbal communication? It breaks my heart seeing autistic people being put through “therapies” such as ABA to try and force them into talking. There is nothing wrong with autistic people using communication devices, sign language and other means to communicate and they should not be forced into talking out of fear and abuse.
“oh. sorry”

Imagine still fat shaming in 2020. Imagine being that depressing of a person.
today’s imaginary therapy session went really well
