● you know that era in about like 2015-6ish that was ALL about miniature things? like….x x x x ? Yeah turns out Gar got REALLY into that and never really stopped. And he’s really picky about it because he loves making the little furnitures and turning into like a ladybug and chilling in his house.
● He’s acutally the whiniest crap ever, the titans bought their own soundproof headsets.
● He has a sleeping schedule. Because of his meta-human abilities, he has sharper senses than anyone. He can smell fear from a mile away, and some nights, he feels fear and it’s stronger than anything he has ever felt.
But it’s not his fear.
It’s everyone else’s.
● So when fear and tears are strong in the air, he goes where the fear is stronger. He goes to orphanages and hospitals and foster homes, where kids are scared and vulnerable, and he sometimes sits by the window, curled up in a ball. He knows that it calms kids, to see a cat watching over them.
● Because of this, there are also times in which he hears kids crying. So he sleeps by their side, and their eyes are closed tight and tears are falling on their cheeks and he’s so scared, because they look so scared. They look so terrorized, and it haunts Gar that it’s not just that one child, but so many and all over the world.
● He gets his own nightmares, and he hates it. Because he doesn’t feel that he has enough traumas worthy for nightmares. But they’re like a trance. He’s asleep and he can’t wake up and he’s shaking and he’s changing into different types of dogs (that’s his mind trying to calm him by letting him turn into his ‘happy animal’)
● The titans always hear this, you know? They pretend they don’t notice that Gar is extremely exhausted and all the noise gar makes when coming home from the hospitals, but they do notice sometimes how Gar is unconciously whimpering in his bed, and they do something about that.
● Tim would sit on the edge of Gar’s bed, and he’d pick up a book and he’d start reading, and he’d have a hand on Gar’s back, and he’s trying to calm him down, and it does work, because Tim still sees Gar as babey, and… it soothes Gar, to feel that their fearless leader is calming him down as a friend, not as a commander.
● When Cassie spends the night, when she goes to help Gar, She lays down in his bed, because there’s space, for Gar is a tiny ball of fur, and she just falls asleep humming some soft lullaby and Gar notices because dogs can feel that. Gar can feel that.
● Miguel worries a lot about Gar. He’s his best friend, and to see him like that… he doesn’t like it. So its most nights that he sits on the floor, his head resting on the edge of Gar’s bed. And Gar will sometimes wake up, and he will fall asleep again, this time close to Miguel.
● They will wake up and Gar will say something ‘funny’ and joke about how “AWw you love me so much” and they will shrug it off, because you know. They all have their own things they don’t want to be known.
● Gar’s favourite food isn’t tofu. It is banana pancakes you uncultured waffle.
● He sometimes turns into a bug, just to piss someone off. This one time, he was a very tiny bug and he was on the inside of Cassie’s headphones, yknow, vibing, and then Cass walks in the bathroom and she’s about to take a shower and she takes her earbuds off and Gar is like singing along and then She takes her jacket off and Gar knows what’s happening, and next thing you know he’s a green smal elephant covering his eyes, sobbing on the floor. He still has bruises from the memory
● He loves spending time in the rug. The floofy ass rug they have in the living room.
● He has been sucked by the vaccum cleaner more than three times. Now every time anyone is cleaning they gotta shout Gar’s name over and over and over until you see a very visible grown idiot on the floor.
● Because Gar is a whiny piece of crap, he’ll “Bunky carry me” and he’ll jump and turn into a chameleon and Miguel has to catch him.
● First few times, Miguel didn’t catch him.
● Turns out Miguel is really ticklish and he can’t put Gar on his shoulder because Gar literally falls asleep and he tosses and turns and that makes Miguel look like some weirdo
● So now miguel has those shirts that have the front pockets.
