Photoshoot Meetup
Okay I know this may seem kind of last minute but in my defense, I did make the facebook event at least a week ago. So if you're not a part of the facebook group, I strongly suggest joining that....
ANYWAYS, info for our next meet!
Date: Tuesday, July 15th
Location: Bower Ponds. We will meet at the Cronquist House Parking lot (or near it) and head towards the back of the grounds, over by the river and the Taylor Drive bridge.
Time: The friendleaders will be at the parking lot by noon and will wait there for a half hour, which is when we'll start hiking to some better locations. If you think you may be late, or can't show up at that time, please give me a heads-up and we can arrange something.
What We'll Be Doing: Okay, this meetup's gonna tackle a few things. Part of it is our general picnic, potluck thing, so bring snacks and games. The other part is we're doing a photoshoot. Here's where things get weird. Full cosplay is totally and completely okay and encouraged. That's right, capes, grey, horns and all. With that, though, comes a few other things...For starter, SEAL YOUR PAINT. Paint has a bad habit of coming off on other people's cosplays when hugging happens, so it is seriously seriously important you seal. I'll be bringing some baby powder and hair spray as a precaution but you are responsible for your own sealant, or we may ask you to remove the paint, if it can't be dealt with. Also, be prepared for weather, heat or rain, and be prepared to do a bit of walking around the park. That being said, you don't have to cosplay homestuck either. Just bring whatever cosplay you want photographed, basically.
About the photos: mobsterqueen will be our wonderful photographer, so they will be the one uploading photos. Keep in mind that they have a life of their own, so photos may take some time to upload, so do not hound them, or risk your photos not going up at all. Some photos may be uploaded to facebook as well. It has been expressed in the past that someone was uncomfortable with photos going on facebook, so if this a concern of yours as well, please let us know!
