REPLICA is a visual interpretation of the phrase “in some place hidden, the replica of a city”, from Ricardo Piglia. I made it for Ediciones Um Por Um using letters and elements of venezuelan banknotes, to compose a series of GIFs intending to explore possible constellations between money, the city, its replica, pixels, digital image and colors. The circulation of those elements in the physical and virtual space proposes to question their division, and to wonder about what new connections can be established between them.
