oh boy how could i ever pick just three. i'll try. i don't know that they will necessarily be my Top 3 because that would require me to sit down for several hours and list out all my grocky headcanons and then sort them into a list. but here are three that i like:

• grace has never fallen in love before meeting rocky, and beyond that hasn't even really tried or had an urge to pursue romance. sure, maybe he's attempted a few dates here and there that friends or coworkers set him up on, but he's never given it a lot of effort and it shows, so regardless of how smart and attractive he may be, his dates walk away with no desire to pursue things further because they can sense his apathy. eventually his friends stop trying to set him up, because he's gotten exclusively bad reviews, and he's relieved when they stop trying, resigns himself to a lifetime of bachelorhood. then he gets chucked into space and meets a five-legged, no-faced rock spider alien who he has to let in and be vulnerable with & for the first time in his life he forms a truly deep, intimate interpersonal connection with someone where he feels entirely known and seen and then uh oh. oops. he's in love

• between the two of them, rocky is the exophile. grace thinks he's an exophile but he never ends up attracted to any other eridian for the duration of his life. he's actually just in love with rocky, and therefore attracted to rocky because of that love. rocky is the real alienfucker freak between them. he's attracted to grace because he loves him, yes, but he was attracted to grace before he loved him––he finds grace's human body inherently erotic, its strange gross parade of liquids and general permeability. to be clear i don't think this is a common opinion among eridians and that they all find grace's body inherently erotic; i hc that it's about as common on erid to find grace sexy as it would be on earth to find rocky sexy. but rocky's just a freak like that
