Happy Monday all - I hope everyone had a great weekend?

Mine was filled with a bit of working, seeing some family, and.... getting out for my 2nd ever wild swim in the space of a week!

I had looked up some good spots since my first attempt and found the perfect location, getting there at 5:30AM expecting to be the only soul up at that time, but, to my amazement I was beaten to it by my new friend Bob who has been wild swimming for 25 years!

It was great to meet someone new who knows so much about #wildswimming given I am so new to it. Bob helped me with some breathing techniques to try when I first got in, and has promised to show me some of the best spots upstream the next time we bump into each other! He was a great sport too agreeing to a snap with my tripod for the blog, even though he doesnt do social media himself

I was up early this morning as I was determined to get out and give something a go that I have been wanting to try for a while - wild swimming!

Aside from being a tad cold!I have to to say I loved it - after the initial shock it really woke me up and left me feeling energised and ready for the day. I love a morning run, but this is something completely different and definitely something Ill do again

If you are thinking of giving wild swimming a go, be careful, its not safe unless you know the places to go and always take someone with you the first time you go, like I did today.

Where do you work out? I know so many people who love hitting the gym, but for me I am perfectly happy just keeping it cheap and cheerful!

I love to get out for a run in any of the local parks, or even just a road run can be enjoyable first thing in the morning. The most important thing for me is time alone with my own thoughts and a chance to clear my head before another day

Well, it feels like the summer has gone today! but that's ok, at least its an excuse to spend some time hitting the shops.

I'm a sucker for window shopping and have some very long wish lists! Trouble is, by the time I can afford what I am after it has usually disappeared!
