“uhhh, did i?” he absolutely did. on accident, but still. “no, i don’t think so, it’s- it was a reflex, right? so i’m not really sure, and- and besides, he was running towards it so that would’ve added to it. and the class door is pretty thick, i think,” truthfully, he has never noticed that door. “it’s gotta be all that, i can’t put on that much force. that would be crazy,” he chuckled nervously.

“it’s not such a big deal, dan,” peter repeated with a sigh. “flash hasn’t hit me in ages, and i might’ve instigated it this today. he was running late for class, my-… senses gave a false alarm, and i- i slammed the door on him. a bit too hard, he sat in the class with a nosebleed.”

“oh, you weren’t there in high school. trust me, he’s improved a lot since.” there he was again, finding humour in situations that shouldn’t be funny. “i’m fine, really” he added in a more serious note.

“oh..” was this about taking a beating from flash this morning? he thinks so.

peter’s lips widen into an awkward grin. “it’s alright, really, nothing i can’t handle. better me than someone else, right?”
