Alas, the catfish that started it all. I was talking to this person for a while when my friend pointed out that it was a possibility that this person could be a catfish. So the obvious solution was to ask them to post a picture of them holding a spoon. One excuse after another for why they couldn't take a selfie with a spoon. They ended up trying to tell me they were about to cut the cake for a birthday (at 12am on a cold fall evening*) I applaud the catfishing efforts though, it must have been difficult to find a picture of the person you are impersonating holding a spoon.
