In 2011 my brother got a great gig playing guitar for a houseband at a famous watering hole in Auld Reekie. This place was renowned for its Thursday industry nights. Sam was a regular. My bro says he was a very sweet guy who attracted copious admirers of all persuasions. He became “famous” long before Outlander for two things: 1) Being able to gently and skillfully rebuke the advances of those who didn’t turn his crank and 2) The size of said crank. Yes, you read that right.
Nice try, Anon, but from 2011 to 2012, Sam was touring with Batman Live. And prior to that, he wasn't in Auld Reekie aka Edinburgh, he hadn't lived in his native Scotland in a long time. Prior to going on tour with Batman Live, he was living in London, bartending with Twist London with fellow actor friends, Luke Neal and Matt Neal. They tended bar at night and auditioned for acting roles during the day.
Soooo, even if he managed to get a night off from TOURING the world as Batman and did go visit his mom in Edinburgh in 2011, it would have been for the holidays...he wouldn't have been a Thursday night REGULAR anywhere in Edinburgh. That would have been impossible, given he was touring and not living in Scotland.
Don't forget who you're talking to next time, Anon. I've been here a LONG time, have sources, and know who's who and what's what. 🤷♀️😙
