Guys I think my dad wants to get rid of my dog he’s at a family friends house for while my dad was away and where going on holiday in 10 days but I thought he was coming back in between but now he isn’t and I just heard my dad talking about how he wants to get rid of him. my heart breaks for the woman in the centre of this who’s entire life was ruined because she spoke up against sexual harassment and abuse in the workplace. her story was dismissed and mocked, people with immense power in the industry she worked in defended him and protected him. her lived experience became a pawn for rich men to one-up each other in petty arguments and bids for more power while she was left completely alone.

internal investigations carried out by her colleagues found what he done was acceptable to them, attempts to take it public were impossible because a gag order was placed on the british press to protect his name and the reputation of the team, evidence of her abuse was meme’d and manipulated to give him a sympathetic netflix edit. his treatment of her wasn’t reason enough to take a stand, yet 12 mid races and suddenly they know how to end a contact with immediate effect.

i hope she takes some comfort in this news and knows she’s supported, believed and understood.
