I think what might help the whole "low engagement in fandom spaces driving creatives out because they don't see the point in sharing anything only to get crickets or critics" is not the shaming tone of "look this is how you get nothing, you entitled shits" that tends to be very pervasive, but rather pointing out how actually rewarding it can be to leave nice comments.
I like to leave very long rambling comments on people's fics and that has actually netted me some very real, genuine friendships and we've become cheerleaders for each other. My friend has a D&D Podcast that she doesn't get ANY sort of engagement out of, so I started listening to it at work and livereacting the things I enjoy about it and showing her my investment and it makes her very happy and it makes me happy that she's happy.
Being nice to people... is actually a good enough reason to do things, shockingly enough. You don't have to do it. No one should shame you for not doing it. But it doesn't actually cost anything to make other people happy, especially if they created something that made you happy.
Not to mention the FIRST and foremost reward you get out of being nice is that it makes someone else happy. It's been really concerning how many people these days only want to be nice if they get a reward for doing so that's bigger than simply making someone else happy...
I know the pain of getting crickets when I post something on AO3, though. I don't know when this started or me, but back when I was a kid, I liked writing all the time, and I shared stories across SO many different fandoms on fanfiction.net. But in modern day, it gets really demoralizing to not get any comments on my work. Hearing how much someone loved my stories matters a lot.
Anything you'd be willing to pay someone to write? I'm in a bind. I could seriously use money. I'd work a regular job if I wasn't disabled.

Whether Noelle'a dad dies or not in chapter 6, I think even in the normal route we're going to see her unravel, or at least start to. It's been shown that she has been suicidal even during happy moments. There's no way this won't be actually looked into. I'd be surprised if it wasn't. Dating someone doesn't remove those feelings. I'd be disappointed if all of those negative ideas and thought patterns disappeared just because she's dating Susie now.

This first one was mine! Mouse drawing of Kris! First time drawing them. No reference. It's cause my person tried to do Kris from memory and it made me wanna try drawing them. Being able to work on muscle atrophy (can't at home at all)
Being able to wash clothes
Being able to potentially drive to a job if I can get well enough
Being able to go somewhere with a kitchen and be able to cook, making food stretch longer
Half has to go to taxes, otherwise, the goal would be lower.

Gonna spoil some stuff for chapter 5 lower in the post, but I'd hope by now you have already played it, or are properly filtering this.
Noticed people saying things like saying "don't correlate masochism to any of the Deltarune characters because they're minors" but... you do realize that most of those awakenings happen before adulthood, right? Romantic and sexual feelings for people and experiences literally don't just spawn in when you become an adult. It happens during development. And even they never see porn (somehow), they always end up awakening to something somehow. Not to mention masochism is related to a lot of other themes that aren't necessarily sexual. Keep reading. I'm going somewhere good with this.
I would say that I think the masochistic tendencies of the characters need to be studied more because it's clearly connected to a feeling of self hatred and a lack of control. Giving that power to someone else on purpose means you got to make a choice for once, even if it wasn't a great one. It means you get to choose when you get hurt instead of having unexpected and scary things happen to you. These characters don't have a lot of agency in their world or their lives. The themse of control and choices are a huge thing in Deltarune, if not the main theme.
There's also the fact that the characters have this passive suicidal air to them that is genuinely not even speculation. It's far more up front about it in the weird route, but I'd argue that the normal route is a stronger indicator. There's also self-punishing/harm behavior, believing of not deserving basic rights and treatment, and also dissociation...
So, some people think the flowers in chapter 5 were supposed to be a representation of Kris at various stages of their life since they made the dark world. I used to think it was a representation of Asgore's feelings and memories. Yellow is very quick to blame himself and be ready to just sacrifice himself, basically. But more people than Asgore and Kris spent time in that house. Asriel, Toriel, Noelle, Rudy, Carol, and December were also there. I'm sure that it's a representation of all of them mixed into those flowers. The flowers were only at the wedding, but I'm sure they got to see these characters more when they went to Asgore's shop, most likely. This isn't a representation of all of the characters (Berdly and Susie and other various townsfolk are kind of missing) but think about it. Besides Susie likely mentioning Noelle while trying to buy flowers for her, how would the flowers have had such an in-depth amount of knowledge about Susie and her feelings for Noelle to the point that even during the Pink fight during one of the dates, you get told to like Noelle instead? They know about Noelle and Susie. Seth has a huge thing for Berdly to the point where a feather is associated with being able to do a literal platformer in this game.
Man, speaking of Berdly, I'm speculating more now, but I wonder what his experience traversing the dark world is for him? I wonder if he was literally platforming in chapter 2 while the rest of us were walking around normally? I bet he was. If we see him again and he ever spends time in our party, I bet we'll get the ability to hop around again. That would be so freaking neat.
Anyway, this devolved a little, but I'm hoping my points didn't get misunderstood any. I feel like I'm onto something, I'm just not sure how to express it. It got a little all over the place.
