Where Your Eyes Go

I really did only have until June. They’ve all fled to their respective corners of the world, and I really haven’t made much effort to seek them out. I suppose I’m a little unmotivated, or perhaps unwilling to risk tarnishing their memory with new experiences. Maybe I’m afraid that their interest in me as a friend was merely circumstantial, and now that the circumstance has long since passed I don’t believe I have any value to them. I don’t really know, I seem a bit less capable of introspection these days. It’s okay though, a loss of a friend can never outweigh the joy that came of the time you had with them. I should probably try a little harder now that I’m disappearing to my own corner of the world.
