Hey guys! I apologize for the release date failures and missed deadlines. I am working on it everyday and doing my best to get a worthwhile product out to you. I want to resolve all the âbugsâ and get it just right before the big debut.
Durability and performance quality are very important to me. I want this product to be reliable as well as out perform my competitors.
The primary issue here being the aesthetics of the crown and ease of use.
â˘The urethra opening a.k.a. the Pee hole:
- The urethra opening was too narrow causing back-flow.
To resolve this issue, a 1/4â hole was use in place of the natural opening. This took away from the aesthetics of the product.
â˘The urethra easily kinked:
- During use if the shaft was bent or squeezed in any way the flow rate would degrade and result in back-flow.
To resolve this issue, the shaft/ main body of the urethra needed to be redesigned. After several models a 30% improvement was reach, allowing for continuous flow even with a 70 degree bend in the shaft.
The primary issue here being durability and performance as it relates to bonding the various sections and layers of the Bionic STP.
Unlike the typical Pack n Play STP prosthetic this product transitions from flaccid to erect; which makes it difficult to complete in a single-pore mould.
â˘The erection increase the length of the shaft by 100% stretching the silicone from 3.5 inches to 7 inches. Any sections that are attached or otherwise molded on separately is inherently weaker at the connection point; allowing for eventual separation. Whenever thereâs a friction point stretching will occur; wreaking the bond with each event.
Think of the typical paint upgrade on most prosthetics, the all eventually fade away. This is because silicone once cured does not bond to anything else easily. After repeated stretching it will eventually rub off or separate.
- For the Bionic STP Prosthetic a.k.a. the EgoPAi, layer separation was a major issue. It was discovered during testing after 40 cycles, the crown would separate from the shaft. The main cause for layer separation between the crown and shaft is the overall thickness of the silicone skin. With the wall thickness being only 1/16 inches thick(1.5mm), the connection points were not durable enough to maintain a bond. ***This issue has been resolved. The resolution will remain secret as it is proprietary information. ***
