Found Family
Stack being a smooth-talking, dangerous father figure:
Stack doesnât hover he appears. Just when Claudia needs him. âI saw the way he looked at you, baby girl. You want me to handle it?â Said with a smile that doesnât reach his eyes.
He speaks to Claudia like an equal, never condescending. Never babying her. âYouâre sharp. Like a knife. But even the sharpest blade needs a steady hand to hold it.â
When Claudia gets angry, lashes out, threatens the wrong personâhe doesnât scold her. He just leans in close and says, âThat temper of yours? Beautiful. But donât waste it on small prey.â
People fear Stack. Claudia loves that. She feels safer with him standing quietly behind her than she ever did with Louis or Lestat beside her.
He teaches her how to hunt smart, how to move through the world like velvet and iron. How to smile while plotting someoneâs end. âLet them underestimate you. Thatâs the fun part.â
Mary being soft, maternal, and ruthless for her girl:
Mary brushes Claudiaâs curls gently, tucks roses behind her ear, and tells her bedtime stories filled with blood and queens. âYouâre not a mistake. Youâre a masterpiece. They just didnât know how to frame you.â
When Claudia has nightmares, Mary is always there. Warm hands, soothing voice. âYouâre safe now. Nobody gets through me.â
She sews Claudia little velvet capes, lets her wear her jewelry, calls her âdarlingâ and âbaby girlâ with a softness that could shatter glass.
But when someone dares threaten Claudia even with a glance Maryâs entire demeanor changes. The smile fades. Her voice goes still. âTouch her, and Iâll make you watch what I do with your bones.â
Mary makes Claudia feel like being loved doesnât mean being owned. Like she can be powerful and still be held.
As a family, theyâre terrifying and tender all at once:
They dress for dinner dark velvet, pearls, cufflinksâand toast with blood in crystal glasses.
Stack teaches Claudia how to talk her way out of danger. Mary teaches her how to make sure danger doesnât come back.
When Claudia asks, âWhat if Louis comes looking for me?â Stack says, âHe can look. He wonât find you.â And Mary adds, âAnd if he does, weâll send him back with a warning carved into his ribs.â
Claudia sleeps between them sometimes, no longer afraid of eternity.
They never ask her to be anything but who she is.
âYouâre not broken,â Mary says. âYouâre beloved,â Stack says. âAnd youâre ours,â they both promise
Note: I am gonna write more about them in the future

This is amazing I love this
They would love her, no one can convince me otherwise
I feel like they would love her and do the one thing that Lestat and Louis could never do, which is understand her. Louis has always seen Claudia as a child to be protected and cared for, and he always will. Consequently, he isn't able to understand that she will forever yearn for love and companionship beyond a father or family figure. On the other hand, Lestat will always see her as a means to make Louis happyâkind of like giving a puppy to a lover. While he does care for her, which is definitely seen in the later seasons, he will always view her as a means to an end, and that end is always Louis's happiness.
They don't understand the idea of longing for something you'll never have while watching others around you get it. For most of the series, both of them had the means to get what they wanted. Even when Louis was a humanâa Black, gay man living in a white-favoring societyâhe still owned a business and was able to be with other men; he just had to be careful. As for Lestat, throughout most of his immortal life, he possessed wealth, power, and the means to be with whomever he desired.
Claudia, however, is forever trapped in the body of a child. For the entirety of her immortal life, she has been kept under the thumb of others with no real power or agency to find someone like her, or someone who can understand and genuinely love her. When she had human lovers, they could never fully understand her desires because she would only ever look like a child in their eyes. Then, when she finally found someone to love her, choose her, and truly see her, it was taken awayâall because she tried to gain some freedom.
I think that Mary and Stack would be able to understand that. Both faced things in life that were unfair and forced them to do things they didn't want to do just to gain some type of freedom. Mary had to pass as white, rejecting her family, friends, and culture, and even marry a white man to have a better life. Meanwhile, Stackâalong with his brotherâhad to go to war, presumably to escape their past, and then went straight into Chicago gangs just to make money. Because of this, they would both understand Claudia's desire for something she has had a very hard time getting. Instead of telling her to "let it go" or that "she doesn't need it," they would do anything to help her get it.
should I make a series about this???

Double the love
Louis and Lestat, after a couple of years in their on-and-off, slightly toxic relationship, have finally gone to therapy, worked through most of their problems, and decided to stay together. A few years later, they got married and moved back to New Orleans from France to be closer to Louis's family (and away from Lestat's). Upon hearing the news that Grace is pregnant againâfive years after having a little boy, but this time with twinsâthe couple realises something might be missing from their own lives and decides to adopt a child. However, after going to the agency looking for just one child, they end up submitting applications to adopt two inseparable girls with similar namesâa decision that will change their lives forever.
Hi everyone! Iâm a super visual person when I read and write, and I think itâs fun to picture the charactersâwhether that's their vibe, personality, or overall environment. Since some people have a hard time visualizing things, I figured Iâd make mood boards and give a little background for each character. By the way, this story takes place in a modern AU!
Claudette "Dottie" Marie de Pointe du Lac de Lioncourt, or as her parents, aunt, and grandmother call her, Dottie Mae, is the older of the twinsâonly by a month and a half. She finds herself often distracted by little things and is very curious. As a little kid, that got her (and her sister, whom she roped into things) in trouble.
Dottie is an influencer and vlogger. She takes after Lestat in the way of being a dramatic actor, just like her papa, and she also learned to play piano.
Dottie loves music about love and is very into crybaby, breakup, and love songs, although her playlist is very broad and she listens to all types of music. Her top artists are definitely Laufey, Liana Flores, Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo, and Patrick Watson (Lestat is so happy she listens to a French artist). Although she does listen to the Jackson 5 a lot, she often gets into small arguments with her sister about not being a real fan because she doesn't know anything about them except that Joe Jackson was a horrible person.
Dottie and her sister both do theatre (Lestat insisted); however, Dottie mostly does musical theatre, and she also does dance, specifically ballet. Neither she nor her sister can do any type of sport without somehow getting hurt.
Dottie loves to write and read. She has multiple journals she writes in, and she has a YouTube and TikTok where she reviews books and talks about her writing. She one day hopes to become a writer, and really looks up to her uncle Daniel.
Neither Dottie nor her sister can cook or bake to any capacity, and Dottie once burnt noodles because she forgot they were on the stove and took a nap.
Dottie likes going to church with her Auntie Grace not because she especially religious but because she like spending the time with her Auntie and cousins and she kind views it as part of culture kinda like how her papa insisted that bot her and her sister knows French
Dottie has a boyfriend she met one day when she went record shopping with her sister; his name is Charlie.
Dottie loves her sister more than anything and, more times than not, sleeps in her room with her. She once even stayed in her sister's room while she was sick, and they both ended up with the fluâgiving them another reason to spend the week in each other's rooms.
Claudia "Dia" Grace de Pointe du Lac de Lioncourt, but most of her family calls her Dia Grace, which she doesn't really care for as she's gotten older. Dia is the younger of the twins and, although most take her for the older one because of her personality, she is very blunt and sarcastic. It's not in a mean way (for the most part), but more like if you ask for her opinion on an outfit or situation, she'd be like, "That dress looks horrendous." This got her into a lot of trouble when she was younger because she would call people or things names when she was just being honest, so Louis and Lestat had to have a conversation with her about how "sometimes it is a little better to be kind than to be honest all the time." She has since grown a little bit of a filter.
Dia loves photography like Louis, but prefers to take more colorful, lively photos versus her dad's mostly black-and-white, still-life photos. She even asks her sister to model for her sometimes. Dia also loves acting and, like her sister, is in theatre, although she sticks more to dramatic plays, but she loves anything classic. She thinks that she wants to become a director.
Dia doesn't really like going to church because she feels like she's being judged, if even only a little bit, but goes because she knows it's important to her Auntie Grace and Grandmother, so she sticks it out, and getting to see her cousins helps too.
Dia loves music. She has so many records and plays the electric guitar, and for her 13th birthday, Louis and Lestat got her the cherry red one she'd been asking for for monthsâeven if she did get yelled at a couple of times for trying to play at full volume at 1 AM. Her music taste definitely leans older; she loves music from the '80s to the 2000s, but does listen to some more modern artists. Her top artists are Prince, The Cure, Paramore, Kendrick Lamar, and Michael Jackson/The Jackson 5 (she gets sad when she remembers he's dead).
Dia is the biggest rage-baiter ever, but is also very easily rage-baited and is often the victim of her sister's rage-baiting.
Dia has a girlfriend and is gay, but she hasn't told anyone except her sister and cousins because she doesn't want her dads to go crazy about it (she low-key thinks Lestat might throw a rainbow party). Her girlfriend's name is Madeline, and she met her at their school during theatre one day when Dia was trying to get to her costume and Madeline helped her. They've been inseparable ever since.
Dia is very, very, very protective of her sister and willâand hasâphysically and verbally fought people over her.
Lestat is the ultimate girl dad. He loves his twins so much; in fact, he was actually the one who wanted to adopt twins instead of just one child, and the moment he saw the girls, he instantly fell in love.
He stayed home with the girls a lot because Louis was away at work or on tour. Because of this, he became very caught up on all the classic girl childhood TV shows. He absolutely loves My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and the classic Barbie movies, but he absolutely hates the newer versions.
Both of the girls spoke French as their first language. They even grew up thinking their actual names were "Ma petite" and "Mon ange" because of how often Lestat called them that. Lestat spoke in broken English for the first few years after they moved from France to New Orleans, and he still occasionally does today.
Lestat has the biggest sweet tooth imaginable. He always wanted curly hair like the rest of his family, so he tried using curly hair products. Through that process, he actually discovered that he has beautiful wavy hair, which made him feel much better about himself.
Lestat used to watch videos for tutorials on how to the girls hair and learned how to do it so well that Grace started asking for help with her twins hair.
Lestat works as a model, actor, and singer. However, he took a hiatus from showbiz to stay home with the girls while Louisâs career took off. Now that the girls have gotten older, he has made a massive comeback and is low-key even more popular than before.
Lestat is incredibly dramatic and has made a habit of talking about himself in the third person, especially when he is speaking to the girls. He absolutely loves family time and makes a weekly Family Night strictly mandatory. He is also very involved in the girls' school and volunteers there all the time.
Lestat is in a fued with Armand
Louis is the ultimate bald Black dad. Whenever the girls ask for money, he doesn't even ask what it's for at this point; he just sends it with a thumbs-up emoji.
Louis takes the girls on his tours through Europe and Dubai and always takes them to see Armand and Daniel and their twins (much to Lestat's disdain).
Louis is the one to take the girls to learn how to drive because, according to Lestat, "his heart is too weak to go through that fear."
Louis only shops for groceries at the farmers markets and only lets the girls have organically grown veggies and fruits, and he makes sure everything they have is cruelty-free.
Louis had a home gym installed in the house for the family and ended up being the only one who used it because he banned the girls because they kept getting hurt, and Lestat because he kept trying to do non-gym-appropriate workouts ;)
Louis sits outside the dressing room or in a car with a drink on his phone and watches the girls model clothes they picked out.
He orders, organises, and takes yearly family photos.
Louis almost always cooks dinner and tries to treat the girls.
Double the love
