I think Adam and Abel have a relationship that I can’t possibly put into words other than they have very different ways of showing love that confuses the other + i don’t think Adam is super present let alone shows affection in the first place BUT. my favourite headcanon is Adam would be more present if Abel got sick because there’s a guttural feeling of guilt and fear of losing his son again. if he couldn’t be there for Abel before when they were alive he will be there now. but he would NOT admit to this. you’d have to beat that out of him.
