Chi-Town’s Finest

There are times, I guess exactly like tonight, where I really wonder if I made the correct choice in letting you go. Most days I know this fact to be true. I feel better knowing I’m not stressing over you every day anymore. Like a weight has been lifted off my mind and shoulders. However, the same cannot always be said about my heart. The occasional memories on those special days and nights, those don’t go away as easy and it’s already been years since they’ve actually meant something. I’m assuming that I’m nostalgic for those days, but I’m not as nostalgic for you, even though you’re always a part of those moments. Hopefully, time and someone new will eventually help me move on from this feeling. Until then, I’ll just have to fight through this, alone.
