From the very beginning of season 1, it is explained that 1. the masters of earth, ice, fire and lightning are predestined to be the guardians of the green ninja so that he may one day defeat Garmadon. And 2. Once the green ninja is discovered the countdown for the final battle starts (there is a physical clock for it)

And throughout the series, it is made clear that elemental powers are a bloodline thing, occasionally they skip a generation (as told by Nya in s5), but very rarely do they stray from the family line (see Morro, who didn't live past 15 nor did he have any blood relatives)

So Wu is already working with these arbitrary rules with a ticking clock and must track down all four of these guys so they can find the chosen one. And like he knew the previous elemental masters, so he would already know who the next gen would be except for Jay and Zane for obvious reasons (at least that's what I thought until s8 fucked Zane’s backstory up so much like why did they do that?????)

Speaking of the previous elemental masters, there is nothing to suggest that they keep their powers after they have children. We only really have Kai and Nya's parents to go off of and Maya always refers to herself in the past tense when it comes to having elemental abilities.

But even if the former masters did keep their powers, Kai and Nya's parents had been kidnapped, Cole's mom was dead, Jay's mother abandoned him and went who knows where, and the former master of ice was dead too I'm pretty sure. And Zane wasn't even related to the last guy, and Wu should've had no idea who he was and s8 makes absolutely no sense for making them meet before--

So Wu LITERALLY had no other options aside from the gaggle of teenagers and he gets so much shit for it. Like I bet he wishes he had Lilly and Ray to work with. Especially when the chosen one turned out to be an eleven year old child.

And you could say "oh, but he trained Morro and other children in his monastery" and yeah, trained. He may have suspected Morro was the green ninja, but he never sent him out into danger. That was all Morro.

That being said, I do think Wu should've been played as more overprotective. They're just coming off of March of the Oni. Cole and Lloyd literally almost died. It would make perfect sense if Wu was going to hard on training because he's being paranoid.

Then the ninja would want to run off on a quest, not because they're out of practice, but because they want a break from Wu's excessive training.

Wu is then validated by them losing Zane. Wu attacking them with the scroll would tie his character together much better than Wu told the ninja they were lazy -> they lost Zane so now he's protective. No, he was protective the whole time.

And the thing is, I could nitpick tons of minute details and inferences you could make (don'ttest me. I really could), and there's still nothing to really explicitly show that Cyrus would treat Pixal any different from the rest of the ninja.

Closest we have is Crystallized, I suppose? Kai says we cant just call Cyrus and ask him for the staff and then Pixal does just that. Its a funny joke and I like it a lot, but is Cyrus agreeable because that's his daughter and he'd give her anything she asks for, or is it because she's on the ninja team and he's used helping whenever they as a whole need it?

It's very upsetting every time I think about it.

The only ONLY person to referr to Cyrus as Pixal’s father is Nya. Clearly an expert at paternal relationships and has no issues or biases at all.

I think that Jay and P.I.X.A.L would both be into FNAF and play the games together/get snacks and drinks ready whenever a new game drops. So Pix would know the lore pretty well.

Every time a new season Gets Announced I get my hopes up for some Pixal plot and Every single time I get disappointed. It just frustrates me so much.

For years Pixal gets absolutely nothing. Nothing we could explore. No character development nothing she struggles with just nothing.

She rarely shows up and when she does it's like she's a different person? Idk how to explain it but her dialogue often just doesn't feel like her?

All we get r some fighting scenes where she's overpowered and gets everything done immediately. I wouldn't mind it that much but it just leaves us with this absolutely perfect character(😍) with no flaws nd stuff so obviously there's nothing to be done with her. Idk why the writers can't give any issues to her Personality😭?

I hope we can all agree that making her Samurai x was a really poor idea. I mean the reason she hid it was???? I never understood it. Her loved ones are the Ninja and Cyrus borg right? We can cross the ninja out cuz well they're always in danger anyway. So that leaves us with Cyrus borg. It's cute that she's concerned but what could possibly make her believe someone is going to do smth with borg guy bc of her? In s3 and 7 he was in danger but not bc of anyone. Just bc he's a rlly smart guy. So I don't understand what hiding her identity would do? AND WHY HIDING IT FROM THE NINJA? Also after her reveal why didn't anything happen to borg daddy?? I mean she was worried smth would happen if ppl knew who Samurai x is so why not make this like a thing? Her feeling unwell without knowing what it is and then finding out smth happened to her father figure so she feels super guilty and then we'll have such a cute moment between them where he comforts her etc? (Not to mention her becoming samurai x wasn't half as impactfull as nya becoming it)

Now we have dragon rising. Her coming back in s3 actually got me hoping they would do anything because this new show saved Ninjago. But again nothing for her.

Pixal could've been a wildcard just like skylar but instead the writers chose to kinda make her part of the team just to idk not make her part of the team😭? She stays out of adventures for no reason at all?? Like in shintaro season I don't understand why she couldn't go with them? They didn't even care to explain it. Almost like it was obviously bc she isn't really part of the team. Then why make her samurai x? Why is she getting pushed aside the entire time when she's supposed to be part of the team.

Honestly I feel like her searching for Zane post-reboot should abe a bit explored, like what all did she do to get him back and how they both got caught by Chen. I feel like a lot can come out of this.

And her being stuck in Zane's body threee off a lot. It was like as if the writers don't know what to do with a female character. It pissed me off. She deserved much better.

I believe the best representation she got was in season 11. there were episodes made just for her. which was cool.

Pixal is the chicken's mother confirmed

Takes place after season 11, everything is the same as in the show with the exception of the Ice Emperor’s conscience living in Zane’s head and Zane can give him control of their body (kinda like split personality disorder mixed with possession)

They can have conversations with each other in their head and have different opinions about things, Zane is more of a pacifist who sees violence as a last resort while the Ice Emperor jumps to violence and fear tactics to achieve his goals. However, they both agree that P.I.X.A.L is the most perfect woman they’ve ever seen and both adore her. Zane sees his girlfriend as the love of his life while the Ice Emperor sees P.I.X.A.L as the woman that he will make into his future Empress. (Zane is more adoring and considerate towards P.I.X.A.L, and the Ice Emperor is more possessive and demanding towards P.I.X.A.L, seeing her as something to take for himself.)

Zane tries to keep it a secret at first but during an instance where Zane lets the Ice Emperor have control of their shared body for some enrichment, P.I.X.A.L comes to talk to Zane and gets pinned against a wall by the Ice Emperor who is acting a lot more creepy than Zane and commands P.I.X.A.L to become the Ice Empress and rule by his side. Zane takes control back of the body, immediately scolds the Ice Emperor, and then has to explain the situation to P.I.X.A.L.

P.I.X.A.L is shocked at this revelation but reassures Zane that he won’t have to go through this alone and will stay by his side. (Much to the relief of Zane and the excitement of the Ice Emperor)

So the rest of the original show and dragon’s rising is the same as canon except Zane and the Ice Emperor share a body. P.I.X.A.L and the Ice Emperor slowly have more interactions and through trial and error, the Ice Emperor learns how to appropriately and respectfully behave towards P.I.X.A.L. And so P.I.X.A.L continues to date Zane while eventually also starting to simultaneously date the Ice Emperor. Zane uses the pet name “My Love” for P.I.X.A.L while the Ice Emperor uses the pet name “My Empress” for P.I.X.A.L.

Eventually the rest of the team finds out and are horrified but P.I.X.A.L and Zane promise that they’ve got the Ice Emperor under control (most of the time at least).

During the episode: Return of the Ice Emperor, Zane is unconscious, thus the Ice Emperor has full and unrestricted control of Zane’s body. P.I.X.A.L rescues him and on the bus, he still makes the comment about tossing them in the dungeon, but he only makes the comment towards Ronin, Ultraviolet, Killow, and Fugi Dove. When P.I.X.A.L tells her father to ignore him and that he needs repair, the Ice Emperor tries to pull the “you are my future Empress and you will obey me” card but one sharp glare from P.I.X.A.L shuts him up. The crystal zombie virus suppresses both Zane and the Ice Emperor.

After Crystalized but before the Merge, P.I.X.A.L and Zane get married and P.I.X.A.L includes the Ice Emperor in her vows as well, legally marrying Zane while also non-legally marrying the Ice Emperor.

During Dragon’s Rising, Zane is still depressed about P.I.X.A.L being missing, but is more aggressive due to the Ice Emperor not caring about the missions or stopping the Mergequakes and just wants to find “his Empress”.

When P.I.X.A.L is found in season three, and Rampton makes the comment about P.I.X.A.L being his property because he stole her fair and square, the Ice Emperor reply’s with “you dare to take the Ice Emperor’s bride, foolish mortal?!”

The Forbidden Five can sense the evil in Zane and try to recruit the Ice Emperor but the Ice Emperor shuts them down saying that “the Titanium Ninja might work with a team, but the Ice Emperor works alone.”

In season four, Zane’s dragon form is more icy.
