Okay, Session 2 last night.TLDR; Character Adopted a child, that meant nothing. In the last session, there were Dragon Cultists raiding a village.  The party was running through the streets rescuing people and the Fire Gensai Rogue found an abandoned Gnome child in a barrel that only spoke Thieve's Cant and Gnomish.  Rogue directs the little gnome child back to the keep for safety. Flash forward to last night.  The Rogue decides that she wants to check up on the little child and goes to the "Day Care" in the keep and sees the little gnome playing with blocks and tinkering away.  Pays the Acolytes in charge to make sure that he grows up with anything he wants. The party takes a long rest in their rooms provided by the Governor for saving the town and in the morning are invited to breakfast in the Mess Hall where all the people from the keep are gathered. The Rogue finds the gnome child and starts to teach it how to play Cards and how to count cards (I rolled 2 nat 20's in a row, so this child is already picking it up pretty fast).  Then she notices that the little gnome has a butterknife up his sleeve, mimicking how to rogue carries her daggers.  So, the rogue decides to buy the child 2 DAGGERS! They left the keep and are in pursuit of the cultist that drug away the villagers and they beat the big baddies for the session but the rogue is still thinking about the little gnome child.  I rolled another Nat 20 and the rogue found a note in her pocket in Thieve's Cant that says "I Will Follow"So, now I had to make up a friggen character sheet for a gnome child rogue that was a very insignificant encounter that had absolutely NOTHING AND WAS JUST SUPPOSED TO BE A FREE 25XP!! BUT NO! THEY HAD TO ADOPT A GNOME CHILD, CAUSE WHY NOT!?
