Last year, The HRC (Human Rights Campaign), reported that in 2019 alone, at least 26 trans and gender nonconforming people were killed in the United States alone. Disproportionately, Black trans people were the victims. Those I have illustrated here, do not even scratch the surface of what is, and should be recognised as, an epidemic. Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we do whatever we can to support the black trans community.

how you treat black people in fiction and fan spaces affects how you treat us in reality. 

 I’M not gonna forget the literal years of people being just, peak racist to john and his fans and lying on him, accusing him of being a predator, making death threats - do y’all really think we forgot that?? do y’all really think you get to march with us after that???

you don’t get to spew racist shit online for YEARS and then pull up with blm in your twitter header and act like you’ve been for us all along, because you haven’t. you’ve already shown us THAT.

and then these same people are gonna turn around and try and tell us that they think what john’s doing is so powerful, that they’re so moved and their chest hurts just watching his emotion. putting up videos and pictures of john at the protest and singing his praises for likes and retweets, for the attention and clout when just days ago you said he was doing all this as a performance.
