This needs to be on my blog.

I’ve always been impressed by abstract art, especially with a limited palette. What greater painting is there on the subject of war, than Picasso’s Guernica? And yet, it’s monochrome, there’s no red in it, how on Earth do you portray violence and rage with no red? With writing, there’s even more limitation than just monochrome. You don’t even have the luxury of pictures, you’re conjuring images in a person’s mind using nothing but a string of text.  That’s why, for me, writing is the highest art form.
