Old Ghoul Blues
Inside, the ghoul saw a young woman, dark hair twisted into a messy knot atop her head, obviously quite pregnant. She had a sword half unsheathed, and she stared at him - or rather, at the dark silhouette in the doorway, bright sunlight streaming in behind him.
It was only moderately cooler in the little shack, but even a degree was precious in punishing heat like this. The woman had obviously been taking a breather, herself, a large pack at her feet, her strange dress pulled aside by the slit along one side, exposing her legs almost up to both hips.
She raises her empty right hand to shade her eyes from the sun, and frowns, brow furrowing as she makes out a ghoul, wearing the garment of some kind of menial laborer. the grip on the hilt of the sword relaxes very slightly, though she does not release the blade.
"If you mean no harm, then be welcome, fellow traveler," she replies, cautiously. Her voice is a musical contralto, and she offers him a faint smile.
It took Raul's old eyes a few minutes to adjust to the darkness of the shack. They widened at the sight of a pregnant woman dressed in an unusual garb. His sight fell from her round belly to the blade within her palm. Though his revolver was holstered, his trigger finger twitched through sheer instinct. To show he came in peace, the ghoul crossed his arms over his chest. "Don't worry, boss. I'm not here for a fight."
A ruined eyebrow raised as one of the old ghoul's signature snarky remarks left his cracked lips. "Love the dress, boss. Makes you stick out like a sore thumb though." He grinned, knowing how hypocritical that made him sound. He was the one who ran around in a vaquero costume most of the time.Â
Remembering the woman's expanding stomach, the old ghoul's face softened. "Are you sure you should be out traveling in your delicate condition? Especially in this heat?" He wiped at his peeling forehead at the mention of the current temperature.Â

"Understandable. I promise it will be no more then a few cells worth." Andre retied his hair back, searching through his pockets for a small glass container and some tweezers. Finding a bit already flaking off the ghoulâs neck he carefully pulled a small piece off.Â
"There. Hopefully that didnât hurt you at all." He hummed, tapping the sample into the container and closing it tightly.Â
"What is your name?"Â
Raul attempted to smack the stranger's hand away from his neck, but was a second too late. Crossing his arms, he narrowed his eyes at the person who had snatched a bit of his skin. "You know, boss, stealing a ghoul's skin isn't very polite," he chided.Â
With a heavy sigh, he introduced himself, his accent thickening while he spoke his name. "I'm Raul Alfonso Tejada. I would say it's nice to meet you, but I'm still a little creeped out by the skin thing, boss."Â

Although I might be a little slow on replies because I have finals next week, but I've been dying to bring Raul back to life so here I am! Sorry if I sound a little rusty. I've gotta get used to his personality again.Â

Old Ghoul Blues | OPEN
A heavy sigh escaped Raul's ruined lips as he walked slowly in the direction of the Strip. He had been out adventuring the Mojave with Courier Six all day, until his companion decided that it was time for him to head back towards the hotel/casino they had been calling home. The old ghoul had been complaining more than usual lately, his aching knees not agreeing with the Courier's stealthy approach to battle. Keeping low and crouching all day had left him with a lot of pain, yet another sign of wear and tear from his practically ancient old age. The Courier was usually pretty good at ignoring the ghoul's complaints, but Raul's constant mutterings of, "If I have to start using a wheelchair, it's on you, boss," and "I've got two hundred years on you, boss. My old bones aren't cut out for this," eventually started to grate on their nerves. So off the old ghoul went, traveling through the Mojave alone, cursing his arthritis for the hundredth time that day.Â
The hot desert sun scorched Raul's neck and bald head, causing sweat to trickle down his torn flesh. He had chosen to wear his PetrĂł-Chico jumpsuit as opposed to his vaquero getup, a choice he regretted the longer he walked with the blazing sun at his back. Ghouls didn't really get sunburnt, as they barely had any skin left, but the Mexicano imagined that were he still human, he would be as red as a lobster. Seeking shelter from the harshness of the Mojave sun, Raul made his way towards an old ruined shack, similar to that of his own shack. He opened the door expecting to find it abandoned, but was surprised when he saw the figure of another person. "Oh, uh, sorry, boss. Didn't mean to intrude." Â

Do you wish the boss would act differently?
Well, I wish they would stop asking me who I am every five minutes. I know they got shot in the head and all, but it gets tiring repeating myself.Â
Besides that, the courier and I get along pretty nicely. I mean, they could stop putting me in dangerous situations all the time (deathclaws and old men do not mix, boss), but I have a feeling thatâs not gonna happen anytime soon.
