So I wanted to post a gay comic for pride month but when I looked up “gay boomer comic”(and I cannot emphasize enough)the only results were either homophobic or furries(idk what this was about but there was so much furries). Luckily Gary Larson came through. My friend in trying times

Small nitpick but why did the artist turn some of the spines of the books away from us, why couldn’t he think of more bad gay things that college teaches you. Like he thought five books wasn’t a big enough pile but couldn’t think of two more titles?

I get that this is a homophobic “joke” about(I was going to explain the joke here but you guys get it. You’ve heard Ben Shapiro go on a rant or two. You know. Unfortunately), but I like to imagine it’s really about her son being so gay he can’t even act normal or physically contain it

2/10 because I actually always liked the Hi and Lois art style so much even if I never cared to read it. Their faces are so cute

I know that the whole making fun of boomer comics thing is not “in” anymore but occasionally I see one that still makes me laff. Like this amazing drawing. Obviously I took this from reddit(I go on Reddit sometimes forgive me lol), and the person who posted it got it from TikTok, and who knows where they got it from so I don’t know 100% for sure if it was made by a boomer, but it is a boomer comic in spirit.

Could you imagine how funny it would be if they dug under the Washington monument and there was actually just a big Pinocchio there. And his big nose was the Washington monument. I think that would make up for like 78% of the awful dumb shit that’s happened since 2016.

This feels like a dream I would have after eating too much cheese before bed. I have so many questions… Is he alive like Pinocchio? Who made him? A big Gepetto(or however you spell that old man’s name), I have to assume.

Maybe controversial opinion: I think it’s a good idea to teach kids cursive.

Less controversial opinion: cursive isn’t really that hard to read even if you were never taught…. Like it’s just loopy letters…. In no world would anyone mistake cursive for ancient hieroglyphs wtf

I’m so obsessed with this Joe Biden fanart??? Like, he is gay and his boyfriend is the very muscular devil. He has an empty little thought bubble to show that he is stupid. There are classified documents behind him to reference the fact that he had a controversy related to classified documents recently. The balloon is there to reference that that was a thing that also happened recently. And the way he’s so delicately holding the soul of America? Lmao

(Side note: I reverse image searched this because I didn’t understand what all the details here meant(I admit I haven’t been keeping up much with the news, I’ve been busy), and found another Valentine’s Day-themed political cartoon by this same dude of Joe Biden giving America fake flowers and a box of chocolates labeled “policies” where the joke was, get this, the “chocolate” was shit. Funny stuff!)

This one rules- I love how the mom is talking in cursive, how the whole family is twinning(do they do this every day?), the subtle joke where she is reading while the the children are on their phones, the fact that the son has a slide phone while the daughter has an iPhone(I guess they just love her more). I like the actual drawing, too, the designs are cute and I’m a fan of harsh shading

Goddamnit I said I liked this dudes comics and he is testing me….

What makes this comic funnier to me is imaging the little girl saying this basic boomer punchline in a robotic voice, like this comic is actually about a dad trying to bond with his robot daughter and failing.

I love this it’s like a where’s Waldo for bitter people who hate everything.

I know there was an ironic picture very similar to this going around this sight a while ago that got mistaken for being unironic, and this seems to be different(I reverse image searched this to try and make sure I didn’t repeat my mistake from a few posts ago, and I actually found a bunch of really cute similar-looking drawings that were not all about how bad it would be for liberals to get their way, so I recommend doing that. I also found this brilliant joke from the Babylon bee:)

5/10 because the drawing is cute regardless of its boomer-ness…. And only 1/10 for the Babylon bee, but only because they made Waldo based and epic. I wish they had gone to the effort of having someone draw him the way he actually looks in the real books, though.
