I rate words

It just has such a good vibe to it. Spinach. Shout-out to that one drawing that has permanently altered my vocabulary so now I call it "spinch" (very foodful). The word just feels nice to say. It's crunchy, it's sharp yet not aggressive, it's crisp... It's just a really really good word.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears are every single cryptid, so of course this word is going to get a high rating. I love mothman, how could I disrespect them by giving bears a low score? Anyways, I think the word conveys what it means well. Idk why, it just works.

A way to describe a day of the week. Convenient. Nothing too special, and kinda awkward looking to spell, but not a bad word overall.

It's a nice word with a nice meaning! I can't do it very well (aphantasia) but it's cool!

It's just a fun word in general. It sounds silly, makes me think of turn based video games, and is silly to spell (extra m and a random k at the end are fun)

we do not need to continuously "normalize" individual things over and over, because theres always going to be the othered "weird shit" outside of that. we dont need people to see things as normal, but to start making their immediate reaction to something weird as hell to them to be at the VERY LEAST just like "eh, well its not my business, you do you."

I completely agree with the above. It's overused in a sense that really only worsens the problem by implying that the only way something can be accepted is if people consider it "normal."

I'm pretty sure I've done this word before but never in this particular context and I think I should do it again because this image changed everything. That bidoof... What is he thinking about. I want to know. This whole image feels like a fever dream and the one-word caption really adds to that feeling. In this context "man" feels like it's used as an expression of negative emotion of some sort.

Seven letters can evoke so much emotion and I love that. The infamous pukicho. The original poster of "then beg," plus countless other posts that shaped the way Tumblr works. Plus, the sound of the word is silly and fun. Too bad the name was ripped off when Pokemon released their mascot Pikachu.
