There is something really special and illuminating in little black girls singing how much they love themselves (and they mean every single thing!) and playing and dancing and having the time of their lives - I smiled widely through the whole thing <3

Tears in my eyes!!! It’s so important to teach young black girls to love EVERY SINGLE THING about themselves. I have gone to predominantly white schools and have always felt like a fish out of water. I would come home crying bc my body wasn’t like the white girls, I would beg my mom to straighten my hair and try to make it look like “white girl hair” I wish I had a teacher like this!!! and even though I am of mixed race and have definitely experienced forms of light skin privilege throughout my life GOD DAMN is this important to me!!!!

😂😂😂 get classes an hour 30 after around your normal wake up time. You gonna need time to shower and go to the cafeteria. Also If you know you’re a procrastinator get classes in the afternoon because you’re gonna be finishing your assignments early in the morning on the due date 😂. And use rate my professor for the love of God 🙏🏾
