I am so bad at articulating myself. I feel the constant urge to express myself, but i have a very hard time doing so in a way that clicks.

Making an effort to share my interests, providing a space to blog my heart out as nonconstructivley as possible, is an opportunity i make for myself, to sieze my own creativity into something i really want it to be. I apologize if things are messy, or hard to follow. But my goal here is to be exactly that.

Rereading my pinned post and experiencing emotional and mental dissonance so large, it could be a moat. Was not lying when saying how much i find expression an impossibility. Ive been awake for about 2-3 hours now sitting on the couch in a disordered stupor. I feel like a living experiment made to answer the question of "What happens when you mix a menagerie of disorders in one poor fool?"

I was going to work on coding or, just. Indulging anything i find interesting, maybe doodling or note-taking. I have not done a single thing. I constantly feel like my brain is insufficient on storage, containing so much it hasnt any more room to enact a damn thing. Simultaneously, it feels like nothing of importance is up there.

Sometimes, i fantasize about an impossible repair to me. Like tools from a workbench could crack open my heads seam and do some maintenance, and i wouldnt hurt in a way i couldnt vocalize. To be able to actually articulate a single thing, instead of a blurry haze of incoherence i feel like im always operating under.

imagine having such an ego that you have to insist that a character in a series that is specifically intended to be vague and interpreted in many different ways is NOT A WOMAN because no matter how much you write about cultures and humanity you need to make sure everyone knows that you are NOT WRITING ABOUT WOMEN!!!!!!! avas about how everyones human and doing their best EXCEPT for women because we DONT UNDERSTAND THEM.

ive always found AVA to be a bit confused about its own messaging, violence is both seen as something that is cool, that bonds people together, that competition is inherently fun and enjoyable and avoiding it is boring and suffocating. but in the same breath, it is constantly showing off how much damage violence does. both to sticks like Chosen and victim and Purple, but also generally to background characters like villagers or other sticks in stick city. even when the CG are having fun, it's coming at the expense of other people. their violence has to inherently eventually hit SOMEONE, and if they aren't prepared that causes harm. despite the fact that it causes harm, its fun, and its cool, and its enjoyable to do as long as you're not the one getting hurt too bad, and you have to constantly try and figure out when it is and is not ok to be violent. i think this goes hand in hand with the masculinty that is "assumed" to be part of the series, you are supposed to understand it is a boy thing in one way or another. its what boys do. i think there is a lot of inherent themes of toxic masculinity and abuse through that in AVA that i'm not even sure if alan becker is aware are there.

but with the adamant denial that purple could be a girl, it almost feels like a self-fulfilling prophecy. alan, noogai, the antagonist of the series who is often the source cause of all the stick fighting and the toxic masculinity pushed onto them, denies that maybe a stick could be something else. in a sort of poetic way it almost feels like alan is trying to put purple in a box and store her away, harden her and use her as a tool for story telling alone and not let others change what she might be or what she does. which would almost be interesting, if it wasn't just kind of shitty in general. god forbid a little girl might relate to a character in a cartoon thats ambiguous on purpose, right?

not a big fan of the “never ever ever rb from someone you ideologically disagree with” idea because unless theyre like Actively Dangerous or their beliefs fully recontextualize the post (ex. “protect women” is an initially agreeable phrase that becomes deeply sinister if from a TERF) putting yourself in an echo chamber is Not A Good Idea. plus people are sometimes right about some things and wrong about others. crazy concept i know.
