So just wanna put this out there, I feel way less stressed as an adult than I did at age 16, or really any age but especially my teens years. And that is to say I was incredibly depressed and almost offed myself when I was a teen. Yeah I didn’t have bills, or a full time job, or anything like that. But yknow what? At least as an adult, yeah I have all those things, but I can control a lot more now and can actually dictate what to do with my life

anyone who ever told me that I had nothing to be stressed about as a teenager was flat wrong and those people who said I’d be more stressed later as an adult were even more wrong

To anyone else who was told or is being told currently as a teen that they have nothing wrong or to be stressed about, it’s okay if you are stressed. It’s okay if you don’t feel good. It’s okay if you’re not okay. But I promise it does get better, I don’t know when for everyone, but it does. And I don’t mean that in a way that everything will change and you won’t be stressed. No, you will be. But you’ll get better at handling it, you’ll get better at coping, you’ll get better at taking things as they come. It’ll still be hard, but I promise it will be okay eventually.

everyone tells me that ADHD isn't an excuse for being lazy and that there are people with ADHD who have overcome their symptoms and are successful but every day I drag around an invisible dopplegänger of myself who is horrible and listless and always complains. and he is so heavy. I'm ambitious and I'm passionate but he isn't and the problem is that to get anywhere in life I have to grab him by the leg and pull him along the whole way, kicking and screaming, and sometimes it gets exhausting. sometimes he pulls me down with him. and it gets a bit difficult to explain to people why I'm lying down on the floor in pain when they can't see him.

next time I rewatch Hannibal, I’m gonna pin point the whole show and make an essay out of it so that when I info dump to my father, it’s organized and he can understand it c:
