Thank you, Black people in fandom spaces. Thank you, Black creators and Black lurkers. Thank you Black artists, Black writers. Thank you, Black bloggers, Black influencers. Shoutout to those Black characters, both canon and original. Thank you, Black people, both queer and cishet.
Your perspectives matter. Your representation matters. You are not bothersome for demanding equal treatment in fandom. It is not your responsibility to make fandom more welcoming and inclusive to you. It is not your sole responsibility to create all of the Black-centered content. You are not "ruining" anyone's fun for demanding better for yourself, and anyone who says otherwise can go fuck themselves. Any fandom worth being a part of should have no room for racism in it.
Black people in fandom, you are wanted. You are needed. You are loved and appreciated. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
And since they don't get told it near enough, thank you, Black women especially!!!

have you guys ever seen a crocodile with its fingies out
With severance season 2 around the corner it’s time for me to share the time I accidentally watched 4 minutes of an episode on mute and thought it was a brilliant way to show the sensory deprivation experienced by the innies
Parallels.
[Cut to me staring open-mouthed at my laptop]
Well, that just happened. I'm finally watching e27, I'm at the 2h45m point, so spoilers for those who aren't caught up ahead--
The Photarch talking with Hal, and I'm sure that someone else has already made this comment much more eloquently than I can, the way she goes "Your main character in your play keeps speaking to, and bringing the message back to, the Rungjani, but not everyone in your audience is of the Rungjani," etc etc, absolutely parallels to to irl "Oh your white audience can't relate to a Black main character" or gay character, or whatever etc etc etc. I'm just. The audacity of this lady, but god I'm glad it's being brought up how absurd this whole concept is. Hey, Yanessa, some things aren't for you and that's okay. Hey, fellow white people, some things just aren't for us and that's okay. Shut up about it.
Anyway the audacity of this lady saying that made me pause to come post this here, gonna go see how the rest of that scene goes.
Edit to add-- lmfao in the cooldown with Aabria describing this ^ as "Your Grandmother pitched Sinners 2 but it's just about Remmick's whole deal," I appreciate you so much Ms Quiddie, thank you for everything you do.
No, no, no, she asked us, what is the bird called that lays eggs in another person's nest?
Campaign 4, Episode 27 - Complicated Questions
I have so many feelings about this paint.
Thjazi found the blood of his people, held captive by Azgra even years after he was gone, and he was told he had to change form to set them free. So he made it into paint to give his older brother so it could be used in service of the new Rungjani culture and art movement. In the final moments of their captivity, these imprisoned souls will see their descendants putting on a show that says, "We remember how tragic it is to be shaped by Azgra. And while we are shaped by war and cruelty, we are not defined by it." Thjazi -the man who spear headed a rebellion in the name of freedom- in his final hour said, "My people shall be free from tyrants."
"For Hal, with all my love."
Love for his people. Love for his brother. Love for magic and freedom.
With ALL my love.
Hal carries Thjazi's sword in more ways than one.

Draw Everything June: Day 1
@adorkastock's Draw Everything June is here again! Hooray! I had a wonderful time doing these last year so I'm going to see if I can rise to the challenge again :)
Kicking off with Murray from the current season of Critical Role. I think it's a fun playful pose for her, but seeing her looking so innocent I immediately assume she's up to something.
this aside is so interesting. the creed is around 40 years old. or, more accurately i think, the creed as a profitable enough venture to warrant a lavish new home for the halovars (which includes the torture basement for aetheon) and a big fancy cathedral is around 40 years old, which is a very short amount of time for a religion to be around and gaining traction
like, godard is certainly older than 40 (if zebani is nearly 30 he's gotta be at least pushing 50) so clearly yanessa had access to aetheon at least a decade before the creed became even a minorly successful religion, and he had to be moved into dol-makjar to centralize operations, which explains why they built it "quickly"
a cult moved into the neighborhood and everyone was just like
okay....... y'all just stay over there
